The Chelios dive was in the third against Selanne and it deserved and acadmy award. Honestly it was BAD. Couldn't find any video's on youtube sorry.
-
I would be more embarrassed of Chelios diving like a dolphin then what he has said.
-
Kronwall lifted his elbow up & broke Carter's nose. A little different. Leaving your feet is questionable. Bringing your elbow up to someones head is straight dirty. Kronwall pulled a Pronger plain and simple.
-
I agree. Prongs has definitely had his share of dirty plays but this series I really haven't seen anything but excellent D from him.
-
Pronger is dirty. Not to many people deny that even Anaheim fans like me. That brown hit was 100% clean elbow tucked in and not even 1 second after puck release. Holstrom is also a dirty player. Holstrom got away with a ton in game three. Multiple slashes to Niedermeyer, elbow on Wiz, cross checked hiller in the face mask. EVERY team in the league has dirty players. end story

Going to be a great game. I am super bitter I have a test tonight and have to miss the first half. Good luck to all.

It's wasn't just the wings that were screwed by the refs. Both teams had horrible officiating against them.
-
Brown didn't leave his feet untill contact was made, besides even if "leaving" your feet pre-hit is ok in your book. Kronwall still got his elbow up and broke Carter's nose. Not to mention you didn't speak a word of any of the other calls/ no calls I referenced. Let's just agree the officiating has been horrid. Wing's fans will argue it has been worse for them & ducks fan's will argue it is worse for them.

HAHHAHAHAH, did you even read my post man. How did I condone it? I said his story was probably biased. I even said I was sorry if it was true. Totally condoning it right? Please read my post before you say something so ludicrous.
-
I didn't say he was a liar, I said his story is probably biased. I also said I am sorry if it was true.

Absolutely wrong. Contusions do not cause internal bleeding. 1. If the blood was from his lung it would have to be from a puncture or a collapse 2. He has already been cleared and left the hospital that would NEVER be the case from a puncture or a collapse. If you want I can link you a few articles that say the blood was from the elbow. *** Even if the blood wasn't from an elbow it is still a penalty.

Wow bro. Classy.

Ref's are instructed to blow the whistle when they lose sight of the puck. According to the rule book the play is dead when the ref decides to blow the whistle (NOTE: the book even says the play can be dead before the whistle is heard if the ref has already decided to blow the whistle). The whistle blew the play was dead. No goal. Now like I said, had the ref not lost sight of the puck it should have/ would have been a good goal. Same thing happened in game 1 of this series on a Parros no goal call. Game one was also a one goal game so it could be argued that that call was just as important as this one. See my point. Ohhh and way to be respectful to someone who was respectful in their first post. And... if you want to get really technical about it watch the replay. Getzlaf was OBVIOSULY tripped behind the play before the "goal". Should have been a delayed penalty ---> Detroit player touches puck ------> play is dead ----> no goal.

I would like to either see Dats or Ovie win this. As long as it's not Sid, Hahhaahhaha.

I am still skeptical. But like I said every team has some bad apple fans. It is impossible to get a fan base in the hundreds of thousands and not have some rude fans. In general Anaheim fans are not like this as I am sure most wings fans are not like this. But stories like this can be found when traveling to any opposing arena. It's a fault with rude humans in general.
-
There is no suspension, it would have already been decided.
-
An obvious bad call it was not. The ref lost sight of the puck, refs are supposed to blow the play dead when that happens. No doubt it would have been a goal if he hadn't lost sight. Very very very unfortunate for the wings/ wings fans but it's part of the game. Happens ALL the time. Heck we even had a goal called off in game one of this series. Reffing was indeed TERRIBLE in all the games & game 3 especially. The no goal call and Stuart's penalty for the wings were bad calls. On the other hand the wings have had a TON of calls/ no calls in their favor. Chelios obviously diving in the third, Kronwall leaving his feet and elbowing Carter in the Face, Brown being ejected and a 5 minute major on a clean hit, Franzen running Hiller, Homer's elbow to Wiz, etc... OOOO and by the way if anyone actually payed attention you would see that Getz was OBVIOUSLY tripped behind the play when the wings tapped that lose puck in. Officiating has all around been horrid. Calls & no calls have gone both ways. I am sick of going on boards of wither team and seeing all the bias. We all love hockey. Emotions run high, stuff happens.

He was injured by the puck no doubt. He suffered a lung contusion. He was however bleeding from his face after being elbowed in the face. Whether the elbow in the face was accidental or not doesn't matter. Players are responsible for their limbs, sticks, etc....

Sorry if that story is true, but to be honest it has multiple signs of either being completely fabricated or at least EXTREMELY biased. Five guys were all 300 pounds? Simply reminded them? They were talking bad to kids and women, and you wanted to be a savior? Please!!!! Not to mention not one other person saw this situation. I am not saying some version of it didn't happen but it's an obviously extremely biased story. Every team (yes even Detroit) has rude fans. Most ducks fans are not like that at all. I have been to hundreds of games and have always gotten along with fans of other teams there.
