Heatley isn't a choker, he never has been known as a choker at any point in his career. Marleau and Joe on the other hand...

Kane, Heatley and Marleau are all having similar years. Kane has 74 points, Heatley has 69 and Marleau has 38 goals to go with 68 points.

Ya actually Brown could have probably played on the 4th line- would have had to get rid of Morrow though. I couldn't see Kane making it though, he wouldn't be a top 9 forward on this team imo and a guy like him on the 4th line is just plain worthless to a team.

LOL. he's played on the Panthers for virtually his entire career and has only managed to play in the playoffs the last 2 seasons, is that his fault??? OMG the sky is falling!!!!! Mike Green would never have made Team Canada. This team doesn't need more scorers, look at the forwards on the team. If Crosby, Nash, Getzlaf, Perry, Thornton, Marleau, Heatley etc., aren't putting pucks in the back of the net then what the heck is Mike Green going to do?? If Green we're on this team everyone would be trashing him right now saying that they should have took Doughty or Boyle. There's a reason that Yzerman didn't have Green close to his board, he can't play defense yet. By the next Olympics hopefully he shores up his play on the backend so he can play on the team.

Fighting for a spot in the NFL? Dude, what are you smoking? Schenn played last year in the NHL at 19 years old and was on the Leafs top D pair. This kid has a much higher ceiling than Zetterberg has. Could you imagine our D with Kronner, Stuart, Rafalski, Lids, and Schenn... that would be amazing. Our forwards with Garbovski would also be stacked and we would probably lead the league in goals due to the explosiveness that Garbovski would bring to the team. ... And Garbovski doesn't have injury problems like Zetterberg does. Burke might not even accept the trade due to Zetterberg's known back problems.

Kenny would have obviously have had to give something up, but thats the price you gotta pay to get a stud in return. Toronto needs to move a defensemen before the season starts so I'm sure that Burke would listen to all offers if they're reasonable. Maybe a 1st rounder, and Zetterberg/Leino for Schenn and Garbovski. That trade would really improve the depth on our team and would keep us in the cup hunt for years to come.

And Luke Schenn is a player that will win more Norris Trophys than Lidstrom in his career. You can count on that.

Bertuzzi sucks. He can't skate anymore, all that he has is decent hands. Not very impressive.

This is a stupid move. Kenny should have tried to get Vinny Lecavalier or Luke Schenn. Those are guys you win cups with, Bertuzzi is a bum.

This is a pretty dumb move. I don't really see the big deal. The 'gameplan' on the dry erase board wasn't earth shattering news. Basically just don't turn the puck over, stay out of the penalty box, win the battles, etc. Doesn't surprise me knowing that Capitals coach, he's said alot of weird things lately

You are so far off base with this post it is shocking. Winnipeg and Quebec City ARE NOT bigger cities than Hamilton. Hamilton is located in the GTA, 45 minutes from Toronto, really close to Kitchener, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours from Windsor 1 hour from London, and 1/2 hour from the Canada-USA Border. That's 5 million people in about an hour radius. FWIW, Winnipeg and Quebec City had fan support. Winnipeg had an older arena that didn't have any suites or boxes, so it lost alot of corporate money. Instead of building a new arena Bettman came up with his brilliant sell hockey in hot places where no one cares about hockey idea. So far Bettman's idea has turned out great . If a team was put into Hamilton or anywhere in Southwestern Ontario they would generate the second highest revenue in the league right behind the Maple Leafs. Copps would sell out every night. It's no doubt that Southwestern Ontario is a gold mine for hockey markets, Bettman doesn't want to move the Coyotes again because doing that he will have to admit that he was wrong in the first place and that his plan failed. Why don't we just get rid of Bettman?? He talks about putting hockey in KC, Seattle, and all these other dumps but as soon as a prized location offers he shuts it right down. He's ruining this league
