I don't know if how many of you guys got to see the fight between Laperriere and Tardif but please comment on your thoughts. As they were squaring up to fight and the refs backed off Laperriere threw off his right elbow pad for his arm to be free. Does anyone thing else think this is an ******* move especially against a young kid coming up and trying to prove himself?

I agree with you and the visor issue. I guess everyone here needed to see the fight to make the judgement call. He threw it off right before they went in to tie up. Anyone who has been in a fight knows its a lot easier to keep a loose hand/arm without an elbow pad. Typically guy's don't have a yard sale before they're about to fight.

If said you would take one of the other available free agents over Bertuzzi (at similar price) you have no idea what you're talking about. Thats all.

Thats not a bad option. Not sure why people are bashing you for saying Williams because he did have 47 points last year. People seem to forget about the money situation and the fact that playing in a wings uniform is a different system. This may be the reason that Franzen didn't start scoring until he was 30 years old. Anyway, not a bad option if the price is cheap. Not much else out there.

TO EVERYONE SAYING STOP CRYING ABOUT ERICSSON'S PENALTY...... They haven't been calling that the whole series so why call it in the third period of a crucial game. If they're calling it the whole series, or game for that matter, fine go ahead and call it but that is certainly not the case here. CONSISTENCY is the issue here, not whether or not it was a penalty.

I love Holmstrom but he has done absolutely nothing this series and nothing for this line. D and Z don't even want to pass to him out there because he doesn't have the ability to make a play, thus making it 2 on 3 whenever they're out. Powerplay absolutely put him out there but otherwise throw someone else on that line. Anyone else. What do you guys think?

OP....you are 100% right. I have no idea why these people think we need a role player against 3rd and 4th line players that we've never heard of before this series. I would rather have Lieno score against their 3rd and 4th lines than Maltby check their 3rd and 4th lines. We don't even have to use statistics, the fact is that Lieno is flatout better than all of our 4th line. Thats why he should be playing.

Not sure why your thread got deleted but the ice was beyond horrible. The ice definitely hurt the wings offense and I'm sure the ducks were happy about that. -
Absolutely, everyone on this site knows it. I understand that the Red Wings loyalty has made them the organization they are but you can't just throw the season over it.

Good thing Hudler is 5 years younger than Franzen. It's more than likely Hudler will put up as many points as Franzen in the next 5 years, especially since they're already comparable.
