All we need is a Power Forward who can finish and another role player who can shut down players. Our D is great and just needs time to grow. Kron - E is a great shutdown line but we need a pair who can essentially prroduce. If we get a Rafalski type player to play with Dekeyser they can compliment each other. The most glaring issue we had was finishing. You cant keep cycling a puck and shoot on the goalies chest and hope for a rebound everytime. Our kids on the third will be better next year but if Z and Dats can have a player they can pass to to score goals, we'll be right at top again. This team doesnt need alot and Kenny knows that. He wanted to see what this team can do with its limited line up and hopefully reload properly. This yearvwas supposed to be a throw away anyways. Just no one expected them to gel as well as they have.

Proud of Cleary. He was the warrior. He made mistakes and turned the puck over many times but he fought hard to make up for it. I want him back next season to be an example of hard work and perseverance. Proud of Howard. He was the reason why we made it this far. He will be the backbone we need for years to come. Proud of Abby. He was hitting, fighting back and being our vanguard. Love his play. Proud of the whole third line. With a rookie filled line to give huge problems for Anaheim and Hawks, they'll be more than alright. Proud of the Hawks for coming back. They are essentially this young team's teacher now. They made us better. Proud of Kane and Seabrook. They showed class. I appreciate that. When we beat anaheim in game 2, we already overachieved.

This is how i guage it: Would I have bet my whole year's salary for the wings to win? If I didn't then I can't be a hypocrite. No one gave us a chance. Just imagine the pain in their locker room. They gave it their all and I saw it today. I can't be upset or even sad at the outcome.

Win or lose I'm proud. Nobody can take away the 3 games we won against Goliath from our David. In 09 we scrubbed this growing Hawks team off the floor. Dynasties fall but having a team to believe in will never die. Gus will score 40 and DD will be a norris winner. You heard it here first.

Shultz is not surrounded by leadership like dekeyser is. Thats a very big difference maker

The question should have the cap considered. Forwards: Zetterberg, crosby, Tavares Helm (healthy) if not then Kesler/Bergeron. Why these 4? Leadership, Experience and Finish. Zata still has 4 good years. Crosby and Tavares to carry the team after. Kesler/Helm/Bergeron to run PK and defensive roles. Defense Doughty, Kronwall Dekeyser Why them? Leadership, youth and Defense. Dekeyser will be a top D very soon.Kronner to instill fear into entering our zone. Goalie Quick and Elliott. Consistency, youth and experience. I'll build my team around that

Right from 5 min into the first, i could tell nobody on the bench except for datsyuk, zetterberg and cleary wanted to win tonight. It's like they just turned off. Babcock is gna give em hell....'Are you soft?' Comes to mind.

When I first watched Dats and Zata playing alongside Hull I knew they would be special. I'm now watching Gus, Brunner and Andersson. I am very very excited for the next 10 years. In a year where 29 teams would have called it a reload, we're beating a Top team in their own game. Extremely proud of this group no matter how far they go. They already overachieved after winning the 2nd game against the Ducks.

Conpletely misunderstood. He meant that Datsyuk was not just born with every talent but works very hard as well. Healey is a Wings/babcock fan. He just didnt articulate himself very well.

I friggin love our 3rd line. When they reach their potential (hopefully sooner rather than later), this team is gonna be top again. If Helm and Dekeyser was playing, the Hawks would be going to Hockeytown down 2 games.

Not at all disappointed. The young guys will bounce back and the veterans will keep em calm. They had the jitters and now that's out of the way. Howard was fantastic. Imagine a healthy Helm and Dekeyser. I've said it before. Making the playoffs was a bonus to a team decimated not just by injuries but retirements and personnel changes. Every game this young core plays is every game they gain extremely valuable experience. Babcock is the best and will find a way to rally. Chicago is tried and tested. That pressure was very evident at the 1-1 score for 1/3 of the game. When dats and zata and mule goes beast mode, they'll win this series because the young guys will follow suit.

If this was the 97-2002 crew, i would be very disappointed today. These are still kids and they need to be spanked for them to learn what it takes to win. I was expecting this team to miss the playoffs. Am I a bamdwagon or am I just realistic? I was so happy they made it and every win and goal in the playoffs is a bonus for me. Obviously, to the mass that's unacceptable yadda yadda yadda. This is parity folks and whether you like it or not we now have to build from within. What we currently have as a future is bright and will probably bring home another cup or two. These kids need to learn and that will only happen when they lose. Today was the young team showing up after getting off a high from a road win to steal home ice. They're over confident. Truth the matter is, when we semi overhauled this year we still made 7th and is showing flashes of maybe going farther. Other teams (edm, pitt, chi, tor haha, nyi, chi) all stunk up the place before becoming powerhouses (were we not the detroit dead wings?) I'm proud of these guys no matter what happens this year, next and next and next and next and next.....no series loss can change that.
