I'm feeling a strong game from Dats, Mule, and Abby today. -
Agree about Mule. He is a streaky scorer who typically steps-up in the playoffs. Sitting him is not smart IMO.

I forsee Flip and Z changing spots once Z is back to 100%.

I wasn't overly impressed with the 4th line last night. Their shifts against the Shark's fourth weren't as dominating as I expected. However, the Abby line couldn't get anything going. Z-Flip-Huds is a high skilled line, but they need someone physical to work the corners and front of the net. That line could easily be dominated physically.

Certainly was a bad play- why didn't he just pass it? Did anyone's feed actually show blood on the high stick? I understand the rule, but there was no blood on the towel used by the trainer -

Haven't you heard, the sharks model how they take a hit after soccer players. -

The penalty should have been for the punch after Howard roughed him up. I think it was Flip who got punched. -

Seriously SJ announcers? They're worse than Crosby. -

Why did you have to be right? -
That's how I watch the NBC games. If hockey is the only thing you want on cable, hooking a computer up to your tv is a good option.

Luckily the LGW no longer allows double posts.

Question: Why do Wings fans hate the Canucks?
WorkingOvertime replied to KeslerFan's topic in General
I don't many here hate the Canucks. However, one read of a Canucks GTD on HFBoards (especially in the Stanley Cup section) can easily give someone a bad taste about the fans- although the offending posters certainly don't represent a majority of the fanbase. Another possibility is that the Canucks are basing their organization on the way the Wings are run. It's great to be on top, and it's always a bit upsetting when someone emulates you and be as good (or better). Overall, I respect the Canucks a lot. I also respect any informed fan of another team (we're all fans of the greatest sport on earth IMO) regardless of if I root for their team to succeed or fail. -

Miller and Abby need to be switched. That third line needs Abby's physical play.

I've been surprised at the amount of 'enforcers' dressing this year in the playoffs. Below is the list of enforcers playing (I'll probably forget some). Zac Rinaldo (Philly) Carcillo (Philly) Westgarth (LA) Clifford (LA)- has been chipping in nicely. Eager (Sharks) Scott (Chicago) Rupp (Pitt) Asham (Pitt) Biz Nasty (Yotes) Shawn Thornton (Boston) Prust (Rangers) Parros (Ducks) IMO this is a good sign for the new type of enforcer that can also play.
-
I know you were joking- I was hoping my would be enough to show I was also being sarcastic. I also have been wanting to use that picture for a while. Exactly. This thread couldn't be any less about (in intention) the actual enforcing in the playoffs. It is more about the amount of enforcers who have managed to crack their respective team's playoff rosters.
-
Wings haven't won a cup recently without an enforcer regularly dressed in the regular season. I hope that changes this year though.

Awesome logic. Where in this thread did anyone suggest that having enforcers in the playoffs is what Detroit needs? Are you just trolling, or do you have a point to add to the discussion?
