10/1 NHL Out of Town GDT - Opening Night

Montreal with a great shift from 2/3 of their fourth line.

Montreal fans seem to love Parros already.

Less than 30 min. until puck drop.

10/1 NHL Out of Town GDT - Opening Night

It's $150 for North America, and $100 for (some) other countries. For the time I spend watching hockey, it is worth the cost (and I enjoy the fact that I am supporting the NHL instead of pirating the streams).

I'll be watching the Leafs as well. Hopefully the intenisty continues from last season. Renewed last week- IMO the price is very good for the season.

    9/28 Pre-Season GDT : at Toronto Maple Leafs 3, Red Wings 1

Nooooo.....on the nickname. I would not be surprised if he does win the spot though

How does Callahan look this period?

    buffalo and toronto fight

I'm not sure how you can say that Kessel started this, considering the circumstances of the game and the fact that Scott told Kessel he was going to jump him. I don't agree with Kessel's second slash and his 'spear', but IMO he didn't start the altercation. He did fight, and bloody, a Buffalo player during the brawl, so it's not as if he ran away from everyone either.

    buffalo and toronto fight

For those that don't know, this is what happened prior to the brawl. It has also been reported that Scott told Kessel he was going to jump him when they came together for the faceoff. I have no problem with Kessel slashing Scott the first time, but the other times were not neccesary.

Phoenix Coyotes' Paul Bissonnette to appeal suspension.

AFAIK the NHL hasn't released the video of the illegal line change. The suspension could be reduced if they determine it was a legal line change, similar to the Clowe susspension.

    9/17 Pre-Season GDT : Red Wings 0 at Blackhawks 2

There was a GCL stream, but it wasn't available to all GCL subscribers. I don't believe GCL makes any guarantees in the US for pre-season games.

    9/17 Pre-Season GDT : Red Wings 0 at Blackhawks 2

From reading here and on other sites, the Wings game last night was not available to all GCL subscribers.

    9/17 Pre-Season GDT : Red Wings 0 at Blackhawks 2

GCL rules should be the same this year. I don't think pre-season games were part of the package in past years, outside of a few for testing purposes.

    9/17 Pre-Season GDT : Red Wings 0 at Blackhawks 2

I didn't see the game available under my account- was it up for you? I do know that GCL had a stream for the game (that illegal streamers intercept), but I didn't have the game available.

    9/17 Pre-Season GDT : Red Wings 0 at Blackhawks 2

    GCL doesn't show pre-season games.

    9/16 Pre-Season GDT : Red Wings 4 at Penguins 1

Gamecenter Live (sometimes called Gamecenter) is the official NHL site to watch games online (computer, phone, tablet, xbox, etc). I used it last year for the first time, and I thought it was great. For me, the only negative is that NHL Network games are blacked out, and the channel isn't available from my cable provider. There are other less expensive (or free) illegal alternatives, but IMO Gamecenter Live is worth the money.

LGW! It feels nice to type that again.

    2013 Most Anticipated Games

I'm looking forward to Takedown: Red Sabre. I'm not sure if it will live up to its hype, but \tThere hasn't been a good console tactical shooter in years.

    Wings Attempting to Re-sign Cleary

Per Mlive, the Wings have re-signed Cleary, 3 years with an average value of 2.6 per year. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2013/07/veteran_forward_daniel_cleary.html EDIT: The story has changed to reflect that Cleary is not signed and may not be signed. The original story was that a deal was done and the Wings would have to clear a contract to finalize the deal. MOD: Please edit the title to reflect the new, correct information.

NHL Participation at Sochi cleared by IIHF

I don't think Abby will make the USA roster, but he was very good for them in the Worlds two years ago.

Rule 48: not working as planned.

I think the article is supposed to read "diagnoses" instead of "injuries". There was a major lack of awareness in the years leading up to rule 48 and likely too few diagnoses.

  23. Good contract. I don't see how anyone can be upset at the term or cap hit.

    kronner a #1?

Can you name 60 better defensemen in the NHL? I do think Kronner is easily a top-30 defenseman, and IMO that makes him a #1. I wouldn't say that he is an elite or franchise defenseman, but he is a #1.
