Nyquist!

When is a Wing going to respond?
-
He speaks very well, but it was as if it was played at 1.5x speed.
-
Did someone tell him to hurry up? He was speaking very fast.
-
There was a great tribute before the game too.
-
He went to the uncovered man with the puck. Kindl needed to tie up his man's stick.

LGW!

An enforcer doesn't play 71 games in 2011-2012 and only have two regular season fights. Most of Bert's fights the past few seasons have been him standing up for himself- IMO something more players should do. With Weber, E was the only other player who was physically large enough to fight Weber, and Bert isn't the type of player to ask (or expect) someone else to step up for the team.

Two was fine, six is too much IMO. This might end up hurting the league's reputation if/when some of these games don't sell out.

He has really elevated his play after his first few games this season.
-
Great shift by Kronner.

I get the point, but the examples were off. Toronto has been the best at it this season, being at or near the top of the league in hits and fights. Boston has been playing very soft for the past month, but they may have turned it around against Carolina the other night.

Clune stayed out after the play, and went off as Tootoo came on. Babcock had his chance at the whistle.
-
Prior to picking up Rosehill, Philly was weak outside of Simmonds this season. Chicago has tough players, but the team hasn't been playing tough- the first period today was a good example.
-
Babcock should have sent Tootoo out immediately.
-
No one goes after Clune?
-
They should volunteer for that.

He fills a (desperate) need.

If that isn't skill, I don't know what is...

I understand. I hope Bert is able to come back (at full effectiveness) soon. The Wings have sorely missed him in the top six. Abby has done surprisingly well the last month, but IMO the Wings need someone like Bert (or Abby) on each of the top 3 lines. I wish Andersson was more physical, because he would be great with Brunner and Nyquist if he had that drive in the corners, in front of the net, etc.

Who's going to tie up guys in the corners, go to the front of the net, etc on that line? The Wings need to get tougher in front of the net and in the corners. Making pretty plays on the perimeter doesn't do much to score on a goalie like Rinne.
