It really picked up yesterday. I like the idea of what Carkner was trying to do, but I'm not sure why he didn't challenge Boyle. Boyle is a terrible fighter for his size, but he did accept Neil's challenge later. The SJ-STL had a nice semi line-brawl last night. -
Bert went right for Weber. Despite the lackluster fight, the fight was great for the Wings.

I've had to edit that post three times now. I'm not sure why I can't get it right.

Abby has been good on faceoffs, but he isn't as effective physically when he has to have a defense first mentality. With that said, I think he would be good centering a more skilled line that is more puck control and less dump-and-chase.

I'm not sure how to break this news to you... The Wings will not win the Stanley Cup every year.

Did you watch last game? Abby didn't have a great/noticeable start, but the third line's play in the third was great. He also set up Cleary when the Wings were short-handed, and Cleary could have easily scored.

A punch is a (relatively) normal hockey play. Grabbing a players head and forcing it into the glass is not. The punch by Weber was okay, but the following act was not. Gaustad had slashed Dats in the back of leg and then tried to engage him. Gaustad wanted to engage a player after the game. Bert obliged and Gausted predictably calmed down. -
