I wonder if Canucks fans are still complaining about the refs. -

I don't think Max would step up that much in weight class, but I would like to see it. IMO it would spark the Wings. Even though they are ahead, they aren't playing well. -

I'm in the same boat. I want to give the NHL my money, but I can't if they won't show all of the games. -
They can probably get a late round pick for him after the season. While he is likely to go back to California, one of those teams may be willing to deal a low pick to avoid a bidding war.

A third line of Bert, Abby, and Helm would be fine. If Huds isn't signed, there will be at least one open spot in the top six. Further, it is unlikely that any rookie is handed a top six position. We all would like another top six forward, but so does every other team in the league. The free agents this summer may be overpriced too. There is also the looming issue of possible cap change in the next CBA. Bert is also one of the Wings few big forwards. The team cannot assume a top six forward will be signed. If someone is signed, they will deal with the roster then. IMO assuming a top player will be signed would be a terrible team management move.

I agree. Bert is very versatile. He can play on the to line our be moved down to the third line if top 6 room is needed. Overall I like the deal. I would have preferred one year, but I like him on the team for next season. If he can stay healthy, this is a good move.

E and Bert are due. Maybe Miller.

Third line drunk tonight?

Kyle Quincey traded to Detroit in 3 team trade (TBL & COL)

He is too valuable for the playoffs. His rights will likely be traded after the season. If Selanne is traded, it will only be at his request to the team he chooses. The Ducks will still benefit, but he will likely be traded at below market value. -
Flip!

I'm okay with this. The price seems steep, but as a Stuart replacement next year this is great (who knows what the price for a top-4 dman will be). It should also help in the playoffs this season. -
As someone who watches 75+ games a season live, that is not a compelling option. My complaint is that I am required to spend $800+ a year between cable fees (NBCSN requires the additional fee of a box and another teir) and GameCenter fees to see every Wings live. For that price, I can afford to see every CBJ home game in person. As someone without cable, it is not merely a $200 fee to see every game (that would be an easily acceptable price for me). I don't mind the $200 fee, it is the additional $500+ fee for cable that I don't agree with. For that reason, I thank the OP for his service and I certainly understand the stop of the stream.
-
If I had GameCenter Live I wouldn't get close to 82 regular season Wings games a year. Without cable, I wouldn't be able to watch any of the CBJ-Wings games or any of the games on NBCSN. IMO the NHL would gain a lot of subscribers if the blackout restrictions were lifted- how many people would choose to watch via the internet over cable for those games? This problem is furthered during the playoffs, when most games after the first round are on national tv. I don't mind paying the NHL for full access to Wings games. Unfortunately, the NHL does not provide that option for users without cable.

He did get a regular assist. Does that work?

He did stop the play while the Sharks had the puck in the offensive zone. He also took one of the Sharks top-scorers off the ice for the last 5min. If you watch the replay, you see that Clowe interferes as Abby skates into the zone- Abby may have thought he would draw the instigator. Compared to many of the instigators called this season, it would make sense. Watching the replay, Abby managed to duck most of Clowe's punches.
