Maybe Abby can embarrass another Canuck tonight. -
It might take this, but I wouldn't like to see Smith and Flip gone. The best I can come up with is; Mule Eaves Tatar Kindl 1st For Nash and Dorsett. Nash is a better player, but FWIW Flip does have more points this season. Why Flip and not Mule? Mule likely has more trade value, and his contract isn't great (if you consider Z's contract with it). IMO Flip is undervalued by a lot of poster's on LGW.

So close there. I've been wanting to see that fight since the Stuart hit. I am surprised Abby had his gloves off first.

Great pass by Flip off the side of the net.

Have you spent much time in the city, or have you been confined the suburbs? I've found most of the suburban areas in Columbus (except for a few closer to the city) to be uninteresting. However, the city neighborhoods of Short North (arts district), Arena District (where the arena is), Downtown (the capital), Brewery District, and German Village are excellent. Assuming the players stay near the arena (there are a few nice hotels, and a new Hilton under construction), there will be plenty to do for them within walking distance. Also, there is a large river park that spans much of downtown. There is a lot to do within the city of Columbus. Shoot me a PM next time you're heading to Columbus and I can give you some suggestions if you want.

IMO the game does not need to be fixed. The All-Star weekend is for the players and I think it serves them well. Most players need a rest mid-way through the season, and the break gives them that rest. For the players chosen for the All-Star game, it is an 'award' for many players that will never win an individual award at the NHL level. For these reasons, the All-Star game serves the players well. The All-Star game is also an attraction for the host city. Hosting the weekend brings a lot of excitement to a city, especially the northern cities that often lack events in the winter. For the fans, the All-Star game seems to appeal to children more than adults. That is fine IMO, but the weekend does lose its allure as one gets older. However, I still plan to watch the skills-competition and the game. I'm not necessarily excited for the game, but it does interest me more than most non-Wings regular season games. IMO having the winner decide home-ice advantage would be a mistake. That honor is earned by an individual team, not the conference. Further, that would increase the probability of an injury for the game. While the All-Star game is best when competitive for the fans, removing the 'break' for the all-stars would be a mistake IMO.
