That is the strategy. If you can create a better strategy, I suggest you start coaching. If not, I don't see why this is a big deal The Wings could have had the D skate the puck in more, set up behind the net, etc. but the best area to shoot from on the PP this game has been from the point. Just because they haven't scored does not mean they are playing incorrectly. -

Pheonix collapses on the PK. The point is the best place for the Wings to get a shot. If you like, they can attempt to pass through the slot, but Pheonix will be ice it every time. You can't force the puck to the slot when the other team plays so close to their net. -

I'll be staying up for the game tonight. Hopefully the Wings give a good effort. OT- My gf texted me earlier asking if she needed to get some pads and a helmet for me on her way home from work. Apparently she read about the Penner pancake incident and thought I might need to be more careful with cookie dough. -
I've seen it in youth hockey a few times, but it seems to (and should) decrease as players get older. However, as players get older the last few minutes can be fight filled in place of a brawl like this.

I personally know a few people who became interested in the NHL after the last winter Olympics. However, the games being played on a delay (due to time difference) would make watching less interesting IMO. That is, if USA loses in regulation, I am less likely to watch the replay. I don't know how/if this effects the casual fan though.

Fistric is a great hitter. With the lack of speed on the fourth line (with Jan being promoted), Abby can't run around too much. In addition, his physical play seems to decline when he plays center. Maybe we will see a nice hit from Kronner or Commie in the 4rd. -

The Dallas player went down. Abby did a good job to hit low and then elevate. Not the most forceful hit, but it is (likely) the biggest Wings hit thus far tonight. -

I suppose it's hard to keep a straight face when talking about Homer. Hopefully Jan is moved back to the fourth. That line needs his speed to create chances IMO. -
