I thought Abby had scored. My eyes must have deceived me, but it looked like it went in and out.

The camera on the bench-side is a bit bothersome to me.

"Wings getting a bump from their backend...make up your own joke for that one." Great start to the broadcast.

IMO they are a team that should roll through the regular season and have a high playoff position. Beyond that, I'm not sold on them being legitimate cup contenders. Chicago reminds me of the Washington teams the past ~5 years. They are great on paper and in the regular season, but I don't see them winning the cup. They certainly can- they have a better 'chance' than most teams- but I don't see them being more than the sum of their players. My opinions isn't based much on their regular season play, more of a feeling about the team.

Ah Bridgestone Arena. Got two handed in the head there ~10 years ago. We did win though. LGW!

Great first episode. I can't wait for the next one.

Why? Abby has been great with Helm this season and he pays better on the a wing. Hopefully there is a change during the game

I don't agree. The games the line has been together, the team has been playing great. I would like to see the line more before making a statement like that. IMO the Abby- Helm- Cleary line has been great, as was Bert- Abby- Cleary last playoffs. The current third line has been good, but it is too soon for any statements like yours, especially when the third line has looked as good over similar stretches the past year.

IMO Conner hasn't stuck with a team because what you see now is what you get. He would be a great fourth liner (not skilled enough for a scoring third line IMO), but many teams use these spots for more physical players. Conner's stay has been extended because of Emmerton's play. With Emmerton out, Abby has to play on the fourth line. Personally, I'd like to see Conner on the fourth line next year, if Homer retires, with a Prust-type on the other wing. IMO when Mursak is healthy, Conner will likely be sent down. He is a great fourth liner (I know he's been playing on the third line) but I think the Wings will want Mursak to 'show his worth' before the playoffs. Thus, the Wings can have the better player for the the spring. Eaves's return will also increase the pressure to send Conner back to GR. With all the centers the Wings have, it is surprising that they has too little depth on the bottom two lines. From watching and reading Babcock's interviews, he wants Abby on the wing (third line), but he has to be demoted when Emmerton isn't playing. To me, the most surprising part of the bottom six is how well the fourth line has been. Miller- Abby- Homer isn't a very good line on paper, but they have had many chances. Unfortunately, none of them can finish very well.

Who at the government can I call about getting HBO OTA for a few months? Great to hear some of you are able to get a trial of HBO for the series- it should be great.

I'm also interested in this. Hopefully someone is kind enough to stream the episodes.

I agree on the money issue. I would like to have more jerseys, but spending ~$80 on another team's jersey is not worth it for me. I do have some CBJ free gear that I wear- a tuque and a scarf. I don't wear them (usually) to support CBJ, but because it's the only clean winter 'gear'. The exception is if CBJ is playing a Wings' rival, then I wear them for support. I would like to get some USA gear.

Hudler's interview was good. He seemed a bit upset when his play last year was mentioned. I'm glad he still is disappointed in his play last season.
