A great line. More typical third line in that they can 'grind' but they are also a legitimate offensive threat.

To be fair, they were the worst of the top-3 lines last night IMO. I like the top-three lines as-is, and I don't mind certain lines getting more time when they're playing well. I'd like to see that line more, so hopefully they can have a better game tonight.

How is that ironic? For a fourth line spot, Nystrom is valuable. Unfortunately, his salary is too much IMO and the Wings aren't in the position to add another forward. For a player that will likely sit in the press-box ~40+ games a year (as our 14th forward will), I don't mind a player like Nystrom. The timing was bad, but someone like Nystrom is what the Wings need as the 13th/14th forward. IMO Tatar and Nyquist would be great if/when injuries occur (assuming Mursak is still out).

I'm not sure he had the chance to avoid the 'altercation'. Good on Kindl for making a hit big enough to cause said 'altercation'.

I agree. Just having some fun before the board goes into crazy mode when the Wings lose a game, or a player makes a costly mistake.

Psh...Hudler is on pace for 82+ goals with Dats I certainly wouldn't complain. I am liking these lines though.

IMO the fourth line won't be too good with Homer unless we see Homer- Helm- Eaves. The speed of Helm and Eaves are needed with Homer. Maybe Abby slides to center, and Brunnstrom plays the wing with Bert.

The irony of your post is that Brunnstrom couldn't crack the Stars or Leafs last year, but somehow Nystrom is terrible for being waived after playing last year in the NHL. I want Nystrom, or a player like him, but this isn't good timing for the Wings.

I'm hoping Rinaldo tries Chara. He doesn't have to, and he would likely lose, but it would set the tone for the Flyers this year. .

The problems IMO is that he's a bit overpaid for his last season, had a down year, had a so-so training camp, and the Wild may plan on having Kassian up for much of the season. I would love for the Wings to pick up Nystrom, but I think his salary is high for a player who would likely play ~40 games (assuming the fourth-line rotation continues). Hopefully Rosehill gets waived sometime soon when the Leafs get healthy- I've thought the Wings should get him off waivers the past two season.
