The days off should have helped this team...which it probably did with injury/illness, etc. On the other hand...the Detroit that we have learned to love has suddenly resurfaced to play 5-10 minutes of dominant hockey a game. Whether or not the days off had anything to do with it or not, I'm not entirely sold.

When the wind is taken out of your sails with bulls*** dives and then bulls*** calls all night...what exactly did you expect? Nothing is new here...Detroit now has shaken the rust off and needs to come out with fire in game 2 as San Jose will be able to muster up some weak calls later in the game to catch up on the PP.

Except he has played like garbage at the end of the regular season and very mediocre when he has played in these playoffs. After this game..he could replaced Abby for the remaining games of the playoffs after they perma bench Abby.

Fact is, the league should hire people that are competent in what they do...players should not have to 'recognize' who they are hitting to know whether or not they will take a penalty. PK coming up.

I will be 7/8 as well.....would not have picked Anaheim if I knew Emery was going to start every game. Philly vs Boston should be a good series.
