This is true. I've noticed that hockey players tend to thank their teammates, linemates, coaches, etc. more than players of other sports do also. Congrats Stevie Y! Noone deserves all the accolades more than you do.

I grew up in Michigan and am a lifelong Wings fan, but I live outside of DC now. I have seen Ovechkin play many times, and the guy is good. He's fast, has a quick and hard shot, and can hit. He's definitely not a two-way player, but a pure scorer plain and simple. He's also a fairly nice guy. When my son's Mite hockey team was at the Verizon Center to play between periods, a group of them went down to the ice to watch the Caps warm-up. Ovechkin saw them, came over, and flipped a puck up and over the glass to them and waved hello. Kids playing hockey in this area look up to him, and he's exciting to watch. People expect him to score on every shift, which of course doesn't happen, but everytime he touches the puck, you almost get the feeling he will.

I wanted to watch the Caps/Flyers game but since it's on Versus, I'm screwed. Anyone know of a stream I could pick up?

Dammit man! I already made plans to have family over for a cook out and to watch the game. But to watch it at Hooters with other fans would've been awesome! Count me in for next year though!

and no one deserves it less than Crosby. What kind of a Captain goes around slashing opponents because his team is down? What kind of Captain doesn't lead by example, start the rush, and score when his team needs it most? What kind of Captain allows himself to be shut down by his opponents in every Cup Final game? Captain Crybaby... He doesn't deserve s***. He hasn't proved anything, except that he's a marketing Tool. And that's "Tool" with a capital T. If the Pens win, it won't be because Crosby wanted it more. It will because the rest of his team bailed their captain out and the Wings did not show up to play. If the Pens win, the NHL and its fans have lost, because it will only go to show that individual pubescents with a modicum of talent are handed things they don't deserve over a group of skilled individuals. Kind of sounds like the celebrity culture in this country. Which is a shame. But that ain't gonna happen Friday. Wings will win and balance will be restored. Suck on that BewarethePenguins!

Couldn't agree more...dump and change...what the Hell is that? Wings were afraid of getting Crosby and Malkin in behind them but the Pens just sped through the neutral zone and in on Osgood. Alot of standing around by the Wings. Dats was strong on D tonight. I thought the Pens got away with alot of holding and interference. That call on Filppula came real late. I don't think the ref even wanted to call it until the Wings bench started screaming. I figured we wouldn't get any calls until late in the game.

They were flat. I expected more intensity, knowing the Pens would come out wanting to forget the embarrassment that was Game 5. That goalpost by Zetter....what a heartbreaker!

Dats will be on the ice for Game 4....to lift the Cup!

Hossa had 2 assists, so he's producing. Zetterberg on the other hand....every time he had the puck he seemed to have it taken away from him.

25 penalty minutes in the 1st period....on the Wings....in Game 2, Lidstrom had 2 penalties in one period. Then Kronner puts the hurt on Head-Down Havlat and gets called for....Interference? WTF?! That hit was so clean, even Pronger learned a thing or two. The refs did all they could to hand that game to the Hawks, and the Wings still came back and tied it up. Alright Kronwall, please hit Toews so hard in Game 4 that those lame ass muttonchops of his come flyin' off!
