Chicago Fans Complaing about Missed Calls

Fans of all teams do this when they lose in the playoffs. Go look at the Calgary and Vancouver boards too.

So now all of us fans are classless because a message board administrator doesn't delete a bad thread? So you're now generalizing all of us based on... let's count it out... one major idiot, several idiots who may find humor in major idiot, and a message board administrator who may not have even seen the thread yet and even if he has decided it wasn't worth his time. The classless argument is so stupid. Hawks fans say the same garbage about you, they said it about Vancouver andCalgary. Vancouver and Calgary said it about us. Everyone calls everyone classless all the time and they're all wrong. You have classy and not classy fans of EVERY TEAM.

Give me a break on that.... I'm sure at some point a Wings fan has already said or at some point in this city will say something about the city of Chicago or it's fans. You're the one currently lumping all Chicago fans together based on one thing some dumb idiot said on an internet message board. Not to mention you've already cracked about our political corruption twice... what does that have to do with hockey? Like I said before, there are some dumbass fans of every sport every where. You can't reasonably say one teams fans are "less classy" than anothers, and you absolutely can't generalize an entire fan base on because of some idiot. Neither are you sir.

Almost everybody thinks their team will win before a series starts, why is this surprising? It doesn't make them ignorant, it makes them fans. It's partially just the overwhelming desire to win that makes them think they're going to win. And you know what, you guys are mighty cocky as well. Don't underestimate the Hawks.

    Chicago Blackhawks Lines

And if Dustin Byfuglien plays ANYTHING like he did against the Nucks you're going to have lots of inner hatred towards him. He was an absolute animal standing in front of the net.

    Chicago Blackhawks Lines

Seabrook and Keith are the top 2 D-Men. +23/+33 respectively. Lots of minutes always against the other teams top scorers. Best unheard of d-combo in the league. Keith not an allstar this year was a travesty. Barker and Campbell are #'s 3/4 but they don't usually pair up. Sometimes on the PP. Q mixes lines up a lot. The past 2 games he's had Sharp with Eager and Burish. Brouwers been with Kane and Toews most of the playoffs. Sometimes Havlat double shifts and plays with the two kids. The most consistent line we've had all year is ladd/bolland/havlat and they have been unbelievable, especially Marty. Bolland has zero name recognition but has also been amazing this season and in the playoffs. He's only in his 2nd real NHL season.

Kane gets the spotlight but Toews is the heart and soul. He battled the flu against Vancouver but he'll be back with avengance come Sunday. Seriously, that kid is and is going to be ridiculous.

Scandals occur at the National level, therefore all Americans are scandalous. Don't link our politicians to us, usually the only people voting for them are our dead relatives.

It's the same in any city. Some people have class, others don't. You only need look 3-4 posts up to find one of your very classy Wing fans hoping Kane blows a knee out. Not classy in my book. For the most part though you all seem nice enough. Same with Hawk fans. Most people are nice, some are jerks. The jerks are more noticeable.

I will take you off if you continue to shower me with compliments, sarcastic as they may be (?). We as Hawk fans have to come together. But seriously, what does everyone expect from a fan message board? It's crazy. The Canuck message board was probably one of the most entertaining things I've ever seen after they lost. According to them, there is a league-wide conspiracy against Canadian teams. I bet if you went to every NHL message board you would find threads arguing an NHL conspiracy against their team in some form. It's silly sillyness of sillying sillyfitry.

Don't even start this one. There has been many-a-bloodbath on the Hawk boards about it. My personal opinion varies greatly from the majority and I thought an angry pitchfork mob was gonna come flying through my ethernet cord at one point... I only put the logo in my avatar to show you guys my allegiance.

xginnjuicex on cbh.com. I believe you and I had a good argument about socialism once. i have you on ignore over there. Good times. I don't post much on the Hawks board but with the playoffs going I have been more participatory.

BELIEVE ME, despite the fact that I would say most Hawk fans are thrilled to be where we are, Hawk fans (like many around the NHL) absolutely hate Detroit and would love to rip you guys to pieces. So don't worry, it's not a love fest. I just happen to be a nice guy.

I don't know if he does this on the national broadcasts, but every time they show a replay, he let's the tape roll then YELLS "STOP IT RIGHT HERE!!!!" and then proceeds to draw a bunch of arrows and circles. Honestly, the analysis is good but every time I hear "STOP I RIGHT HERE" that's exactly what I want him to do.

We have stupid fans. You have stupid fans. we all have stupid fans. They love to come out to message boards. It's a great way to act like a complete jagoff with the wonderful vale of anonymity.

    Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

Yes Vancouver is very different than Detroit. But I would disagree that the Hawks defense isn't close to the Ducks, maybe their top pair isn't as strong, but Keith and Seabrook can play with anyone when they're on. So "isn't close" isn't accurate but I'm NOT saying Keith/Seabrook are Niedermeyer/Pronger. Bulin is definitely needing to play better as far as save % goes. He made some key saves though especially in game 6 against the nucks.

Noone expected the Hawks to get this far, especially Hawk fans. We're pretty happy. I was happy winnign a round, this is just icing on the cake. That said, the Hawks do have the ability to beat you. Don't think it'll happen, but it could. You have to realize the culture in Chicago a bit, the Hawks weren't just BAD for a long time they were absolutely miserable. These past 2 seasons of hockey have been the most exciting thing for hockey fans since the early 90s.

I used to hate him til he started doing all the Hawk games and listened a lot, as much as I hate his little catch phrase he's a very good analyst. If he sounds biased towards the Hawks in this series it probably has more to do with the fact that he's seen them ALOT more this year than the Wings and he just knows the team better. The guy really isn't a Hawk fan or a fan of any one team. Pat Foley on the other hand, our legendary play-by-play, is one of the greatest Hawk fans ever.

    Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

Don't underestimate the Hawks. I really think you guys should be favorites (who doesn't?), but all over the Vancouver boards I heard the same things about the series being easy, the Hawks being young/inexperienced, Vancouver matching up well etc. You have to recognize that the Hawks have a LOT of offensive depth. Any of their 4 lines can score at any time, Adam Burish had a huge goal in each series so far. In addition, Quenneville has no qualms about playing ANYONE with ANYONE, the past 2 games he's had Patrick Sharp on a line with Burish and Eager. But the thing is, it doesn't matter who these guys play with we have weapons on every line. The Hawks scoring is MUCH MORE balanced than Anaheim who is a one-line team - essentially. That's what bit Vancouver, once the Hawks shut down the Sedin ginger twins the Hawks balance up front showed up over Vancouver's lackthereof. In addition to Toews and Kane, Marty Havlat is a beast, Patrick Sharp as well, Versteeg, Byfuglien, Eager can all score. We also have 3 great offensive defensemen in Keith, Campbell, and Barker. Our Power Play has been sick. On the Blue Line, we have 2 of the best "shutdown" defensemen in the league, and I don't say that in any jest. Seabrook and Keith don't have the name recognition but they are right up there with the big boys. I'm not gonna be stupid and say that any combo is better than Rafalski/Lidstrom, but Keith and Seabrook finished the regular season +33 and +23 respectively. Lidstrom/Rafalski were +31/+17. Of course, Datsyuk is ridiculous at +34, but Marty Havlat was +29. Not too Shabby. Add Keith and Seabrook to Campbell/Barker and the Hawks have a very strong top 4 with a LOT of offensive prowess for a D-group. In addition, the Hawks have been playing great since the end of the season. They were like 13-4 in March, will be well rested, and have Jonathon Toews who has won a championship virtually EVERYWHERE he's ever played. I think it's going to be tougher than you think boys and girls. I still think in the end you guys are a better team all around, but don't underestimate the Hawks. This series goes 6/7.
