He's centering a line with Malkin and Kovalchuk and scored a goal against Denmark.
-
This. Don't be bitter, because it was never gonna work here. Just like Latendresse was never going to work in Montreal and Jokinen was never going to work in Tampa Bay.
-
He's been good but Briere and Gagne have been amazing.
-
2+4=6 +3 in 7½ games now.
-
LOL. God damn you're stupid. "Way overpaid"?Make a list of guys who put up 57 points who make less than Hudler and who were AVAILABLE on the market. Not to mention this guy did it playing 3rd line minutes.
-
Howard and Niemi will definitely not become the next "Roy or Hasek". They may be good or decent starters in the future. Rask definitely has the potential to actually be the next top goalie in the world. Halak has been great but he wasn't as big of a prospect before. It may be that he's just playing better than he really is right now.

I said we need an enforcer on the 4th line. Everything else will be ok. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Hudler-Franzen-Filppula Cleary-Abdelkader-Eaves/UFA Draper-Helm-Eaves/UFA + Miller, Ritola

LOL. Read the whole post and reply after that. I said how you don't know how tough "average" Finnish player is not to mention about European players in general because you haven't seen anything else but NHL games. I'm not gonna argue about this again and I certainly wasn't bashing NHL or anything. Read the other posts and THINK before you say something.

"OMG so lazy! Doesn't WANT to play in the AHL?? Selfish player with NO work ethic!"
-
He isn't an NHL caliber player. Let's hope that 5th round pick brings us something.
-
I still see the biggest thing was just a new team and a new start for him. Whether it was Flyers, Trashers or Sharks. Flyers is a good fit yes, as there already is many tougher guys and they have more "room" for skill. Still, I think the biggest change has happened with his confidence like I kinda predicted (Latendress and Jokinen for example even they're higher calibre players, the effect is still the same).
-
He isn't exactly playing with tough guys on his line (Hartnell, Briere) but there's some truth in that. But oo say it's just because of the players around him is stupid. He has stepped up and does all the little things right too. These points are just awards of the hard work he's been doing in every game of these playoffs. He seems somehow WAY more faster than before (kinda like at the first games of the seasons) and he back-checks decently as well.I'm not bitter, because it was obvious it's not gonna work here. He's a better player for real, that he was here - not because the Flyers.
-
Yeah I was just kidding. It was obvious that I wasn't gonna work here. I said it was about confidence mostly and changing scenery can help in that. He plays in the 3rd line in Flyers so I wouldn't say he has no defensive responsibilities. They've got three offensive lines. I don't think he would've "had" to play PK here either. Even Datsyuk doesn't play PK here. He's a guy who is at best when he's on the 3rd line offensive role and playing some PP.

That Leino trade looking good.
-
As said earlier, they'll draft the best player available. There could be even some trade, but Kirill Kabanov at 22nd is a risk in my opinion. Medium or high risk with a high reward of course. I'd love to get Granlund, but I'll doubt he drops that much. He could though, because of his size.
-
I hope Filppula comes as well, but he probably won't.
-
First Denmark beats Finland 4-1 and then USA 2-1 on the OT. They're doing pretty good.
-
I hope they win it. Just so we can tell how we lost to the best.
-
Hahah. You think it was a lack of physicality why we lost? The hockey is going towards puck posession game - more skilled game. Many teams (LIKE SAN JOSE) have already mimicked the Red Wings style. This team will never play a dump and chase style in the near future and this team won't be like the Flyers. Our style of game and the right players to play it have been the key for our success in the recent years. Penguins, Sharks, Canucks... all those team have mimicked the Red Wings style of puck control and puck possession. Even Chicago is more about skill. Bruins is the perfect opposite, but I doubt they'll win the Cup. We don't need to change ANYTHING regarding our "style". We just need to build the team a little differently, maybe rebuild a little with younger players. We had guys like Williams, Bertuzzi and Leino. Not one of those is a real top6 guy, but aren't capable of playing on the defensive role either. Hudler will be a important piece for this team's offense. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Franzen, Hudler, Filppula + maybe Holmstrom. There's at least 5 real top6 forwards. The defense looks solid if Lidstrom doesn't retire. If he does, then we all the cap space to get a "replacement". When you compare last year's team to this year's team. It's not about toughness or anything like that. We just had a really good team and everyone was one year younger. I'm not saying we're "too old" but some important players are already past their prime.

Let's all focus on Karen Newman's unbelieveable rack. Think positive.
-
If it had been Nichol (etc.) they would've not given a penalty shot. Obviously rigged.
-
Stating the obvious.
-
Did the stream went down? The ND Sports Talk thing...
-
It wasn't a bad call IMO. More like a bad penalty by Franzen. The puck had no chance to get to the net anymore, yet he decided to took that guy down.
-
"The IIHF is a joke"... LOL, Too many European players in there for your taste? Your lemieux and gretzkys have little against the greatest players of the Big Red Machine in terms of international accomplishments. The only "joke" about that list is Gretzky being in there. This obviously shows - yet again - that you have no clue of the what has happened in hockey outside your sweet America.
