FILPPULA SUCKS!
-
This. I was just going to say this.
-
Filppula turned on the sucking mode when Round 2 started. Wonder when he turns it off.
-
He also talked about secondary and firstdary scoring. Dunno if that's even a word.
-
LOL SETOGUCHI DIVER!

I think best fighter is pretty hard to judge as well. Stats are what you can measure. You can't really measure someone's skill, toughness etc.
-
Bad idea to award something that doesn't matter once the point are dealt and the goals are scored. The goals are what counts and they also count assists. In theory there doesn't even have to be one fight in the whole year but the games can still be judged. In playoffs the game doesn't end until someone scores. So basically fighting like many other things goes in the "style" category. It's not necessary, but it may help in some situations. Mind as well award the fastest skater as well.

Are you really that stupid? Didn't you even read past that first sentence? I clearly said that there is only offense and defense. Toughness can be a part of them both but in the end the result is only thing that matters. Toughness can help to get better results. Colby Armstong may be tougher than Jiri Hudler but Hudler is still better. I said that I don't care how the results come, but obviously you're one of these people who rather lose the game and see one fight than win the game without fighting. I'm sorry, but I don't award style points. I only care about the results, and the fact is that Hudler scored 57 points. That's what matters. And you think I don't know that when there are two "equally" skilled teams, the tougher one usually wins? Guess what. When there are two "equally" tough teams, THE SKILLED ONE usually wins. I don't care how it happens. Skilled team will also win whenever toughness doesn't work. European hockey? Europe includes many countries and you can't say that there's only "European hockey". Hockey in Finland vs. hockey in Czech Republic is totally different. And btw, there are more people in North America too. Guess what. There are more NHL players per capita from Finland than from North America. So learn to read the whole post before replying. Also, learn to think before posting. I know you like fighting and stuff, but it doesn't matter s*** if the result is worse.

Toughness doesn't matter. There is only offense and defense. Toughness can be part of both but it doesn't have to. It's like giving style points. I don't care if the goal is scored by dangling the defender or crashing the net.The fact is that this year we've lacked offense not defense. We were 7th in goals against but only 14th in goals scored. Hudler gives us more offense than guys like Armstrong or Clarkson. edit: Obviously there are these people that would rather have a fight and a loss than no fight and a win. Good one.
-
But he will be part of this team next year. I think everyone should wish good things for him just because when Hudler does well the team does well.
-
You don't even want him to succeed, just because you don't like him.
-
Ken Holland. He already signed Hudler for top6 cap hit. I think it's pretty sure Hudler also plays in the top6.
-
No one's really been able to answer this question in the other Hudler debates either. Maybe it's because Hudler is one of the best - if not THE BEST - player available on the market with that kinda money.
-
Why wouldn't he fit on the team? Williams is definitely not staying. I think it's obvious that only one of Bertuzzi and Holmstrom is staying. Or if we can sign Holmstrom cheap he can play in the 3rd and 4th line and then on the PP. Franzen has to be more physical though, and I think he can do it if there isn't an another injury like that.Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Hudler-Filppula-Franzen (kinda like Hossa-Filppula-Franzen) Cleary-Abdelkader-Eaves Miller-Helm-"tough guy" + Draper, Ritola

Playing in a worse league but with a bigger role can many times improve your game. Look what happened to Rafalski or Brian Campbell for example. Those guys were barely NHL-level players, but that bigger role helped them to develop.
-
Big loss. Talbot has to step up if they want to have three good lines.
-
We weren't a nation at that time. There was already Finnish people who wanted to have their own country to represent them. That has nothing to do with sisu here. There were simply more Swedish people and even Sweden Finns who wanted to be more Swedes than Finns. And btw you lost that area to the Russians. So basically your point is that Italians are very tough guys because the Roman Empire was so large? edit: And I don't have a clue who that guy is. Probably another Swedish royal who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. I know this guy though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_H%C3%A4yh%C3%A4

You Swedes don't know anything about it. It's been all easy for you because of your geographical position. No wars, no nothing. I'm not saying that I personally have had tough times, but I think Swedes don't have to worry about anything. Ain't too easy when there's Big Bad Russia on the other side. I bet Finns could just take over Sweden if they wanted to. xD Swedish army, lololol. Real tough guys. The message above was not personal. I'd also like to add this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pw3e64sosEg

I think Finns have heart.
-
Filppula will have an assist or a goal on this PP.
-
Important icing. Matchup taking some role here.
-
I can basically live the American rhythm as I have no school or anything. I usually wake up between 3 PM and 5 PM. It's just because of these games, but I have no problem with that. edit: The time difference is +7 hours for me.

Okay, pull Howard now. It's not like he's let easy goals but that team just isn't focused. AND WHY THE f*** DOES Z TAKE DRAWS WHEN THERE IS FLIP?
