Not a good matchup, but what can you do...

Can someone tell me why that ND Sports Talk thingy doesn't work?edit: Started working again: http://ndsportstalk.com/teamteal1.php
-
It still means that some people (more likely many) chose Ovechkin over Miller. That's one thing I don't understand.
-
LOL. It starts one hour later here and I'm totally going to watch it! BANDWAGONER HAHHAAHAHAAAA! I'm not even tired. I don't even drink coffee. What you gonna say to that, huh??

The Burrows thing doesn't matter. Daniel is almost as good as Henrik. He had the same ppg, but more goals per game. Daniel Sedin alone is better than Guerin and Kunitz. Not to mention they've played together for years. Don't you think it would easier if Crosby had a bro like that out there? Henrik is still part of a duo and he wouldn't do that well without Daniel. It's a fact no matter how much anyone hates Crosby and is now going to hand me some -1's while I say how Crosby deserves the Hart Trophy and really makes the other players around him much better and Carman hasn't influenced me a one bit and he didn't tell me to say this and don't give me -1 and stuff and.

Let's not rage. We'll take the win playing sophisticated gentleman hockey. Our powerplay is our enforcer.
-
Didn't you even read what I said? The fact that Malkin doesn't play with Crosby is one of the reasons he should win it. Crosby has much worse linemates than Sedin for example. Daniel Sedin played 63 games and had exactly the same ppg as Henrik. They played all that time together. Henrik got most of his points playing with Daniel. When Malkin gets injured, Crosby has to carry the team. Yes, Henrik has to do that as well when Daniel gets injured. But Crosby didn't get most of his points playing with Malkin unlike Henrik did playing with Daniel. You get my point? Or do you just hate Crosby so much that you don't want to understand? "That's moronic"... LOL...

Lester B. Pearson Award renamed - Lindsay!

Exactly, so let's just award what really matters in the end like they do know. -

And that's what I'm talking about. Why don't award the best playmaker and best dangler then? There are only OFFENSE and DEFENSE. It doesn't matter how you get the results. Whether it's grit, speed or skill. You don't award something like that. It's like giving style points. -

Why would you reward something like "grit" or "hard work" etc. There's two aspects in the game: offense and defense. "Grit" and "hard work" can be included in both, but they're just among other minor abilities. We don't have awards for best skater or hardest hitter either. -
How can Bryzgalov be more important to his team than Miller if Sabres and Coyotes are fairly even in material with Coyotes even having the better defense and still Miller has the better stats?
-
Miller was more important than Bryzgalov.Sabres and Phoenix have fairly even material. Phoenix has probably the better defense. Miller had better stats. Did you watch any Sabres games?
-
Henrik and Daniel both had the exact same ppg. They're a duo and yeah Daniel was injured and Henrik was still good. Doesn't mean that playing those 60+ games with him didn't help.Malkin was injured too you know. Crosby didn't play any games with him, but he needed to up his game too. And Carman, I think Ovechkin should deserve the "Ted Lindsay Award" as he had still amazing stats even though he missed 9 games. Those goals weight more too.
-
My choices would've been: 1. Crosby 2. Miller 3. Sedin Sedin is still 1/2 of a duo, so I don't understand if he wins it. Ovechkin missed too many games. Malkin was injured so that speaks for Crosby winning it. Miller was spectacular too, but a goalie won't win it.
-
Rask is better than Howard and Halak. Halak's had two amazing games and if he keeps playing like that, of course he's the best. Looking at the bigger picture though. Rask also outplayed Miller in round 1.

I think it's just good for Yzerman to get some NHL GM experience under his belt before replacing Holland. Let him develop there and come back after few years.

Kinda funny, since I was just thinking about posting to this thread and was looking for some Latin American look-a-like for Devin Setoguchi. I even watched 70's show on TV about half an hour ago. Fez is the man!

I think we should expect more from Datsyuk than Filppula considering the cap hit. That why I don't quite get this, as one could say Filppula even played better than Datsyuk.
-
This is an example of basing grades on expectations. Maybe Lids and Stuart had some bad moments, but they were easily better than Helm.
-
Are these grades based on expectations or just performances?

Isn't it like that with almost every athlete?

Maybe Flip was better than Datsyuk anyway then. He had the second best plus-minus. I'd say: 1. Zetterberg 2. Filppula 3. Howard 4. Datsyuk 5. Lidstrom Lidstrom had one really bad game if I remember right, but he was magical last night. Those are maybe based a little on expectations too. Hard to compare Howard with Filppula and Datsyuk as the other is a goalie and the other is a forward. Kinda depends how much value you wanna give on goaltending.
