Did you guys notice that he actually had 6(!) shots last night. That's huge for him. He even shot himself were it was like 3on1 with Bert and Z. He decided to shot rather than pass on the PP and look what happened! Way to go Fil. I don't think he's streaky in terms of playing well. It's just the producing. He always does all those little things right, so I'm happy that he's finally turning into top6 player and starting to get some offense too.

Look. When I saw Doan hitting our guys last night, I knew that there's soon gonna be a thread like this.Bringing up May or anyone won't stop Doan hitting them. Scoring on the PP on the other hand... I definitely agree that Abdelkader should be there over Williams. I just don't see anyone to be replaced with May right now.

When you have Malkin there, the opponent has to focus it's better guys to defend that line. Against Capitals they can always put it against Ovechkin.

You think Backstrom is as good as Malkin?It's about Malkin being in the team and Crosby having less pressure because a much better player is there, so he can work undercover. Ovechkin is the star in his team so there's much more pressure.

Elite playmaker? It's pretty easy to be an elite playmaker when you're playing with the best sniper in the world. Guy is big, strong, has the best shot in the world.Take Malkin away and see how Crosby handles the pressure.

There's a difference being the best goalscorer and winning the Rocket Richard.Ovechkin had 9 less games. Easily a better goalscorer than Crosby.
