Vancouver Olympics 2010 were considered the best of the best so far. Scoring the OT winner in the gold medal game is pretty big goal IMO.

No. It's about being more important to your team. Ovechkin missed 9 games. Caps went on and it was barely even noticeable that he wasn't there. As said, if it was about the best player in the league Ovechkin would have better chances. Crosby was more important to his team this regular season, because Malkin was injured as well.

But it's the Sedin twins. They even have the same PPG. I just can't imagine give an MVP award for one of them. Maybe they can share it some season...
-
But he's already 36. He won the Vezina last year, but if he'd be traded he would be two years older at the start of the next season. He's skills are declining rapidly. That 5M cap hit is obviously an overpayment as well.I think he's far from that goalie who won the Vezina.

I hope it'll be Howard, but I'm not so sure.

Phoenix Coyotes Forward Lines and Pairings

LOL. Lepisto on the 1st D pairing. -
Err...no? Goals consists only of goals. Points consists from goals and assists. Think about that. There are no award for most assists, but there is an award for most goals, so obviously goals are more important than assits. That's why there's that goal tie-breaker for Art Ross.

How can you possibly say that Henrik should win it?Even though Daniel has been injured, Henrik would still have much less points without him. I just can't give an MVP award to a 1/2 of a duo like that. Crosby or Miller it is now. Ovechkin would be there if it was given for the BEST player in the league as he has missed 9 games. But those missed games hurt him when its about the MVP. Also, I don't see how Bryzgalov could win it as he is basically just a Miller Lite. IMO that Buffalo team don't look that much better than Phoenix. They both have about the same number of points also. Miller has better stats of the two so no chance for Bryzgalov to win it.

I realise that Daniel was injured, but still I think Henrik wouldn't be as nearly as good without him. I wouldn't give it to him. Miller, Crosby or Ovechkin depending on the way you look at it. Ovechkin's team won the President's trophy, so obviously that's a positive thing. Miller was the best goalie in the league easily and has made decent team a great team. Crosby won the Rocket Richard and Pittsburgh have been good, he's also almost had the most points too. Malkin has been out so that gives more importance for Crosby. It kinda depends whether the Hart is given to most valuable player to his team or the best player. Ovechkin obviously missed almost 10 games so that kinda makes his performance for impressive. Although by missing 10 games and the team still winning the President, I don't think he was the MVP. They may give it to Crosby because Miller gets the Vezina.

No need to think it that way. Worst team in the league and 20 mins. There's certainly a possibility for it.
-
Yeah, and he should've deserved more starts. It's kinda easier for coach to bench Osgood than 5M Thomas though.
-
Howard may win it, but Rask is still the better goalie...
-
He hopes to earn a spot right away? Wow.
-
Steroids do their thing pretty quickly.
-
PLUS, Cooke was the one who instigated the fight in the first place.
-
Could you point out these people?Because I totally think Cooke deserved that as he was the one who started the fight. He AGREED to the fight. I'm still against the instigator rule which would've allowed Cooke to just start punching Kane's head even if Kane wouldn't agree to fight him.

Daniel would have 110 points now if he had played 82 games like Henrik has. I also think he'd have more goals than Henrik.

RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Damn! Well, this means it's gonna be an interesting match between Rangers and Flyers. I dunno which one I'd want to make it. Flyers have Leino and Timonen, Rangers have Jokinen. Leino probably won't get much ice-time anyway and I really don't care about Timonen that much. I'd like to see Rangers getting there. If Rangers win they'd be tied at 88 points with Canadiens and both would have 39 wins too. Who would get the 7th spot. Because that 8th spot is pretty much the same than no playoffs at all. Devils vs. Rangers could be good matchup though.

Should have let go off the shirt. Would've deserved it for hurting Savard.

It doesn't mean anything that "they're in the NHL". The PK guys are also NHLers. If our PP guys were playing against some Arabian hockey league guys, then yes, the handedness wouldn't matter much because we would score probably on every PP anyway.Matching handedness create more options, more time for decicions and more scoring chances. I understand if your hockey knowledge is limited to enforcers and hitting everything that moves. But handedness do matter a lot and that's a fact. If the right point guy is right handed it's much easier for him to play the puck down low and shoot it if the pass is coming from down low on the same side. To say that our PP doesn't use one-timers or point shots is just stupid. Every PP uses them if there are options for them. The more options you've got (point shots, one-timers, down low, cross-ice passes), the more options the opposite PK has to defend against and there will be more scoring chances. The only time we would benefit from having two same handed defenders would be when playing umbrella formation, where the other defender (or a fourth forward) would be on the side and there would be only one defender on the point, whose hand wouldn't matter. Even if playing umbrella team would still need at least one right shooter to get the most out of it.

Seems that the refs are against Bruins strongly here.

Mindfly would kill himself.

You still don't get it. It's about the number of options they have. I'm not defending Williams but handedness do matter in any PP, alot. Even if they don't shoot from the point or shoot one-timers, it's about the threat that they CAN shoot from there. More options leads to more scoring chances, because the opposite PK has to take away those options. You think they're not gonna shoot from the point if the option presents itself? No matter how you play your PP handedness matter.Obviously, you think I'm defending Williams here and you've come up with that "handedness don't matter in Wings PP" thing. I bet you wouldn't say like that if Stuart or Ericsson were right-shooters...
