This is going too well... there will probably be an injury or something like that. This is going too well.

Ville Leino 1/3 of Philly's offensive unit

This was probably what both GM's had in mind when doing the trade. Kinda like the Latendress-Pouliot trade. Trading players that are average or below average and the trade may just help them turn good.Jussi Jokinen was also traded by the Lightning for a bag of pucks or something like that. You just knew that he wasn't gonna get it done playing there. -
I think it's pretty obvious that it's the other way around, at least in UCL games. There have been suspicions for a long time now how the UEFA doesn't want English clubs in the finals so much. Referees are corrupted and stuff. That's prolly why they don't want to use cameras either.IMO Ribery isn't even in the top10. Ronaldo, Drogba, Rooney, Messi, Casillas, Terry, Iniesta, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Torres, Kaka, Buffon... I can easily name at least those players who I think are cleary better than him. I'm glad that Bayern won though, as ManU didn't deserve to win the way they were playing.

"If finishing top ten in Vezina voting at least three times" When you first read it quickly it sounds like a great accomplishment. Then you think of how there are basically 30 number one goaltenders in the league. Being in the top 10 is basically being above average then. I'm not arguing against anything else.

It's kinda funny how many people wish that he wouldn't do well in Philly so the deal would look better for us. The fact is that it would have never happen here. It was obvious that he needed to move. I hope he does well as he is a Finnish player (and once played for my favourite club) and it's nice that he is playing in the Eastern Conference and not for the Blackhawks for example. -
With limited ice time maybe. There's only one spot or no spots at all remaining when the whole team is healthy. Abdelkader and May will be the ones to battle for it.If everything goes well we don't need to change the lines at all. Draper-Helm-Eaves has been solid the whole season and it seems that we have two solid scoring lines as well now. Cleary and Miller will definitely be in the remaining line. So Williams, May or Abdelkader will be the one with them in that line. I think we have only good options here. Three very different players for different situations. Williams as the right-shooter to add some offense and be the point guy in PP. Abdelkader as the young energy forward with good two-way skills. May as the enforcer who also plays well defensively. I'm feeling good. Just hoping there won't be any injuries.

Rafalski, Lidstrom, Stuart, Kronwall. Great defensive forwards Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Filppula, Cleary etc. Not to mention Babcock's superiority in tactical knowledge compared to many other coaches. This is the Detroit Red Wings.

Or maybe the Red Wings team playing in front of Howard is a LITTLE better than that Flames team.
-
I hope he respects the fact that the staff believed in him and gave him this chance to be what he is right now. Who wouldn't wanna play here for a small discount? edit: AND yes, I wouldn't probably lock him up long-term, unless he puts up the same numbers next season. Howard wasn't a top prospect like Rask and Mason. I think we'll have to see if he's just overachieving this season.
-
Though he lets in those softies pretty often. But yeah, he does it consistently too.
-
Maybe it's because we've had all these injuries and staff. We are relied on goaltending more in this season. Maybe Hasek/Osgood would've won us games like Howard has in the regular season, but they just didn't have to because the team was playing so well.

If Williams wasn't a right-shooter he'd definitely sit. Dunno if he sits anyway though. Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Filppula-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi Miller-Abdelkader-Cleary Draper-Helm-Eaves

Yes, I was definitely looking at those white teeth as well.

Filppula following similar path to Datsyuk...?

I'd say Flip's peak is 60-70 and Hudler's 80-90. -
If you're a great player then you know what's okay and what's not even without doing any thinking.

Nice dive. Except it doesn't have to be a big push from behind when you're racing for the puck like that.

Ozzie teaching Howard how to forget about weak goals and continue. Now who would be a better coach in the subject than Osbad?
-
I'm sorry that I ruined your extremely funny "training with Osgood" -joke by bringing up the facts...
-
The part where it got redirected after hitting the defender's stick. Our rookie of the year didn't look too good in that previous goal though.
-
Maybe you should look at the replay.
