I kinda agree. But the fact is that offensive talent doesn't always translate as production where as defensive plays may well do it. Williams is probably better stick handler and skill guy than Filppula, but those little plays like fore-checking and lifting the stick can create good opportunities. I'd say Filppula is better offensive producer than Williams even if he can't do that fancy shootout move. Leino probably has more skill too than Filppula, yet he can't provide offense. -

I think he won't ever be the next Datsyuk, but I disagree here. He's already on a 60 point pace this season. Dunno why he couldn't do it next season. Dunno why he couldn't add 10 points more to that after that season. And that would be the peak. -

He would've had over 60 points this season without the injuries with this pace so far (whole season).He will never be as good as Datsyuk is. I just hope he stays healthy and he will be very important player for us. -
I was just thinking. Maybe slavery would still work as well. It worked in the ancient Greek. Worked quite well to be honest.

So you support head shots? Heat shots are violent, it kinda hurts. Yet you support removing the instigator, which would lead using violence as a punishment. It don't remember who said something about "rather sitting in the press box for suspension than getting punched in a face by Boogaard". If violence should be used as the punishment, how come headshots - which are obviously painful violence - should be allowed then?

I think this has already been a breakout season, considering he has been injured. He was one of our best players right when the season started. He has 34 points in 46 games, that's about 0,74 points per game. If he would be able to be healthy next season and played like he had all this season (yes, not just the past three games) he would end up with +60 points (82x0,74). So basically this season pace is 20 points better than the last season. Pretty good IMO.

I dunno. I just don't think Howard steals games like Rask. I watched both teams play and Red Wings obviously is the better team all around. Maybe it's just because having a guy with 5m cap hit as a backup would be quite a waste.

If Rask plays his remaining 10 games, I wouldn't be so sure Howard winning it. This is Red Wings. Even Osgood has been good behind this team. Leading the league in gaa and save% is pretty good.

Yes, because Babcock isn't really a human. If you've seen Men In Black (one of the greatest movies ever... XD) you'd know that an ultra-intelligent alien actually killed some guy called Mike Babcock and now uses him as a "suit". I don't know how long this has been going, but I do know that the facial expressions are limited.

I voted 'Yes' because it's not a very long period of time and that line is clicking right now. If it would be just about Filppula I had voted 'No'. Couple of those multi-point good games for the line and it shouldn't be too hard.

That's true. But I think Val always performs at a good level when looking at the basic things. Maybe it's confidence that brings the offense to his game, but skating, playing well defensively and working hard are always there. LOL. Maybe a little too rough."Shoot the puck" = "LAUO HELMINEN LAUOO!!" That's the correct translation. Also, you can add "Damn it!" to the end which is "Kaksi sekuntia AIKAA!!"

Of course I'm basing my opinion of what the rule would cause to happen. I think you can relate it to real life. Let people police themselves and see what will happen. There's obviously a reason why there are referees in this game.Yes, they do know it. Players obviously respect the league as you said. League makes the rules and hands the punishments. No need to remove the instigator.

Let's just hope that first line does well too. I just noticed that Datsyuk has only 60 points. Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Filppula-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi Miller-Cleary-Williams Draper-Helm-Eaves I think anyone of the 3rd line guys could play center.
