So like in real life, people would just "follow a code"? Like when someone would do something bad to you, you could just get your tough guy friend to go beat the s*** out of him. Cooke does cheapshotting. I see no reason why Cooke wouldn't use his fists to cheapshot some star player, when the instigator rule wouldn't be there. The instigator rule isn't the problem here. You can still challenge the cheapshotter. If he doesn't fight, everyone knows he's a *****. That's a code which doesn't cause any more violence. If he fights he fights. This way you can't just go after some star player. There are authorities in real world, who handle the justice. There are referees and league in hockey. "Once again", if that "Cooke" cheapshots "Savard", I don't understand why he wouldn't use his fists to do it. I support hockey fights in general. They are best way for two men to let out some steam, rather than hitting someone to the head with the stick or something. But they don't solve this case. If you wanna see fighting just for the sake of fighting go watch boxing or something.

Hey I want points too!
-
The difference between Cooke and Bertuzzi is that Bertuzzi hasn't been dirty when wearing a Wings uniform. Maybe he doesn't want to get that legendary shirt dirty. Where as Cooke doesn't really have anything to lose playing for the Crosby's.

At least Leino gets some playing time.

Penguins bashing thread(keep it within the site rules please)
Finnish Wing replied to HockeyTownHouligan's topic in General
I think making these kinda threads just shows that people are jealous. Just like the threads and stuff Blackhawks fans do about Red Wings. -
Sorry, but it isn't. That system would have the same big problem that the current system has. There would be different amount of points on the line depending how the game ends. I personally think two ties should be the same amount of points than a win and a loss.

I didn't realise there is basically only Jagr above him soon. Those numbers he put are unreal though. He ain't even that old yet. Maybe Teemu goes for another year to break that record. Congrats to the Flash! BTW, found this: Selanne's Road to 600 Yes, I was on Ducks homepage.

The interviewer's Finnish accent is so 90's. xD "Like Halli or Liiga?" MAN! How stupid is that guy?
-
After which I respond how Carcillo has played 67 games and Filppula only 44.
-
HEYY! Backstrom, Lydman. And all the guys. Rafalski was uber when he played in Finland. Just like Campbell, he got his career a fresh start playing here.
-
I think it just add a little extra something when every announcer doesn't do it the correct Swedish way.
-
Look at Homer's head. The guy is steaming!
-
Fixed.

I'm just guessing the players would rather choose between shootout loss and win than playing a tie game.
-
Yeah, it wasn't a good deke. Luckily the backhander was perfect.

Yeah, some people dislike ties very much, but then it would also be possible to create a working point system.I'd go with 2 for win and 1 for tie. Of course the soccer system (3 for win, 1 for tie) maybe rewards the win better and some people may like that, but then again there comes this inbalance. There wouldn't be always the same amount of points on the line, which is the main problem in the current system. 2 for win, 1 for tie, 0 loss is good. But I still think the 3 win, 2 OT win, 1 OT loss, 0 loss is the best. Of course you could always remove the shootouts and play endless overtime. Let's say first 5 min OT 4on4 and after that endless OT 3on3. Or something like that. I'm sure the game would end faster if there would be less guys on the ice. Because the main reason why the shootouts exist is the length of the game.

The best point system is 3 for win, 2 for OT win, 1 for OT loss and 0 for loss. Shootout ain't the problem. And I know why some of you North Americans don't like when a loser gets points. That wouldn't be a problem either. The problem is that you've had that s***ty system where winner always gets the same amount of points and there is this "extra point" thing, which just doesn't work. That is why you probably hate when points are given for losing. I know I would too. But trust me, it isn't a problem if you go with the 3 win, 2 OT win, 1 OT loss, 0 loss system. Everyone gets what they deserve. There is also the same amount of points on the line. No extra points. Of course the problem is that NHL can't use that point system because the Europeans did it first. Kinda like with the SI system. The problem with this system is the same as with the current system. And trust me, it's a big problem that there aren't always the same amount of points on the line.

While Valtteri had a three point night here his brother also did that in Finland. Ilari had 2+1 when TPS (black) beat HIFK (white) 3-2 in the final game of regular season. Filppula is number 81 playing for TPS. Actually he has the golden helmet also.
-
Yes, because Filppula not shooting is obviously the main problem we've had this year.
-
If Zetterberg is as good as his cap hit says, he should be the one making other players better in that line. Not Filppula. Superstars play well, no matter who play with them. Why not try these lines: Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Franzen-Filppula-Bertuzzi Miller-Williams-Cleary Draper-Helm-Eaves These have been suggested like 322564 times already, but Babs hasn't even tried them.

Ryan Kesler signs 6-year/$30 million deal with Canucks

Say that to RedWingsAbner who used Kesler's enrty-level contract as an example to prove why Filppula is overpaid. -

Red Wings GM Ken Holland hasn't given up on wandering Jiri Hudler

Jokish yeah. Still, wouldn't wonder if some people really think that secondary assists are not important.
