I think you should read this now, because you obviously haven't done that yet. Just read it and think about it for a moment. "- Fil we think is a second-line center in the NHL." - Mike Babcock (who obviously doesn't know anything about hockey)
-
I'm still waiting responses for my three previous posts.
-
I don't think Filatov will ever be an NHL calibre player. I mean look at these stats: 2008-09 Columbus Blue Jackets NHL 8 4 0 4 0 2009-10 Columbus Blue Jackets* NHL 13 2 0 2 8

Tie (also called OT loss) should be more valuable than losing because it's just natural. I just don't understand why it's so hard to agree giving one point for the OT loss.
-
Exactly. That is how market value works in basically everything in life about buying and selling. Or do you have some exact value for guys putting up X amount of points? That would be like in Soviet Union where every product had its solid value. I think that Franzen argument was pretty good. Is he worth the money? Because Filppula would be get +50 points this season if he had been able to play 82 games. And to say he's only a energy player is wrong. He's a great player defensively.
-
So basically first team A plays team B and the game ends 5-5. After which team C loses 15-0 to team A. Team B and C both get 0 points, although team B was easily the better team and. 3 win 2 OT win 1 OT loss 0 loss Just do it like the rest of the world does. I mean really. I think that's the biggest issue here. Americans can't change it like that anymore because in Europe they already did it.
-
I'm not speaking about potential here. He is over 0,6ppg THIS SEASON. He is great defensively already. You think 3mill for that is overpaid? Ok.
-
I still don't understand how a great defensive forward who is +0,6ppg and capable of putting over 60 points is overpaid at 3mill.
-
Dunno know about that. I think Bertuzzi with Datsyuk and Franzen with Zetterberg is more chemistry. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Franzen-Filppula-Bertuzzi Miller-Williams-Cleary Draper-Helm-Eaves + Maltby, Leino Lidstrom-Kronwall Stuart-Rafalski Ericsson-Lilja + Lebda Howard Osgood

No shootout. 4 on 4 OT until a goal is scored. 0 points for loss in regulation 1 point for loss in OT 2 points for win in OT 3 points for win in regulation Easy. Shootouts are there to make the games shorter. We could always reduce the number of games to get rid of shootouts, but I don't think that is what people want.
-
But this is now and that was then. Filppula's playing good at the moment, that's the only thing I care about. I think we all know that he still haven't even maxed his potential yet.
-
The guy who wants Filppula traded thinks Helm should be on the PP.
-
I think making these kinda threads is more crazy.
-
35 points? If he had played 82 games this season he'd put +50 points. Not to mention he's great defensively.
-
Hagman is inconsistent maybe between the games. But what does it matter if he'll have a 30+ goal season and has had 20+ goal seasons three times in a row now? Flames win easily.
-
Maybe it's a fresh start for him.
-
Does this McGuire guy know everything about European leagues as well?
-
As I said Flames win. Phaneuf is overrated. Flames get much needed depth to their offense. Hagman plays well with Jokinen.
-
Toskala and Hagman as I said before? edit: Or not.
-
Flames. Win.
-
i haz cheezeburgerz
-
Hagman and Toskala to Ducks perhaps?
-
Well that's weird. Why don't teams do like that more often then?
-
As said before, Nylander's contract didn't come off the books. It's a loan deal. Capitals still pay him.
