Filppula's currently on pace for +50 point season (if he had been able to play 82 games). I think that's an improvement. If can play as he does defensively and put up that kinda numbers in the future (I believe he has potential for +60 though) there's no doubt he's earned his salary. I just don't know whether we should play him as a 2nd line or 3rd line center the rest of the year. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Franzen-Filppula-Bertuzzi Cleary-Helm-Williams Miller-Draper-Eaves + Maltby, Leino This could work.

Rafalski is the most offensive of those d-men (I'm not saying he's the best offensively, but you know what I mean) and Stuart is the most defensive. Lidstrom and Kronwall are both more balanced guys.

I think those teams are not build entirely by looking the statistics. Probably wanted to throw some more famous players there anyway.

I agree with these lines, although I'd like to see Kronwall and Rafalski switching places to get more balanced pairings.

Abdelkader will have his big role next year. I'm hoping he could play on the wing in the future. If he plays center next season, he likely won't get that much ice time (unless Helm plays on the wing). Abdelkader-Helm-Eaves would be the line I'd like to see as our 3rd line next season.

I agree. Just somehow seems that people think fighting requires more heart than scoring.

If a big fat goalie would just lay down (Jabba The Hutt -style)in front of the goal, no one could score.

I wouldn't say enforcers have any more heart than scorers.

It's a loan deal so Jokerit won't have to pay him anything either. Not a bad deal at all...

Why are you making these same threads over and over again? USA will choke, prepare for that. Their coaching and playing style is nothing special compared to the top four. No way they get a medal. Probably end up being 5th or 6th.
