Helm and Abdelkalder Should Be on the Same Line
Finnish Wing replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
I agree. Abdelkader-Helm-Eaves could be the second coming of The Grind Line, although slightly different version of it. That line should be our 3rd line next season. -

Offensive player playing in the 4th line is not much of a chance. Just let May play if this is the case.

Facts and opinions about player numbers in the NHL

Klesla is a defenseman. Also, I should add the exception that 0's and 99's are not even available, so they shouldn't count. -
Facts and opinions about player numbers in the NHL

Nice to see you contributing for my thread man! -
Depends on how you're building your team. If you want to have two clear scoring lines and two clear checking lines, I'd rather pick one good guy than two medium. Maybe Cleary's role should be more defensive in the future?

Just imagine twenty Canucks fans pointing a giant laser to Kipper.
-
Rask would be easily the winner if Boston had given him the amount of games he has deserved. They just don't want to go to the playoffs with him, so they keep playing Thomas, even if he's not playing that well.
-
I don't think one good game is enough to change anything. Leino has had several good games last season and at the beginning of this season.
-
You don't have to get rid of Miller if you do like you said with the others. We need to waive/trade/send down three guys. Abdelkader can be sent down. Then Janik and May as you said. That's enough. Although I may not agree losing Janik.

It's a deal then! xD

Wish I could too. I promise that I'll make a trip to USA and go to Red Wings game at least once in this lifetime.
-
By success in international tournaments. Canada Russia Sweden Finland Czech Republic USA Slovakia Switzerland That's how it's gonna be this year too.

I really don't know about Finland's 2nd team. Probably wouldn't be very good as our material isn't broad enough. Todd McLellan is a coach similiar to Babcock and a coach understands the modern playing style. Probably wouldn't be him, but that's my choice. Well, there can be numerous of factors in team's bad performances. If you mean Red Wings now, I definitely think it's not Babcock's fault.
-
What the heck? What are you trying to prove here. Of course Canada's 2nd team is better than Finland's 2nd team and probably better than any other country's 2nd team. There are almost seven times more people living in Canada than in Finland. It's pretty obvious that they've also got more good players.
-
@Rivalred: - This thread about Canada's second team beating the other countries' (such as Finland's) first teams, so no way Leino should be even mentioned - I think Canada would still have good coaching even without Babcock, but Babcock, Jalonen, Bykov and Gustafsson are probably the top4 in the game (in not any specific order). - Of course team's performance relies a lot in the coach and the coach's playing style especially in short tournaments. Finland's has never had a top team, but top coaching has been a big reason for good results. - Even with good coaching, we've seen a number of times that there are numerous contributors in the international level, so anything can happen
-
Are you really that stupid? God. READ THE EARLIER POSTS. If it's Canada's second team, it also has other coaches than the first team has. Mike Babcock is a top4 coach in that tournament, but he is busy with the first team...
-
We weren't speaking about Finland's second team here. And why can't your level of play decrease slightly? Could you just give it up already?
-
Why are you throwing Backstrom there as Kiprusoff is clearly the starter and has better stats? Besides scoring in the NHL is different than scoring in the international games. If you think that team's unbeatable, you clearly haven't a lot of international games. And you can't analyze teams based only on it's players as coaching is a huge part of the game.
-
You've got some problem with me? You clearly misunderstood my quote. The "slightly" was a comment about Finland's level of players declining. This has nothing to do with Leino. Leino isn't a typical Finnish player. You've got some issues.
