We all knew before the season that this one is going to be more of a rebuilding season. I'm not saying we can't win the cup now but we're better next season. -

Leino does good things but doesn't get the points. He's better than Miller and Eaves offensively.

I don't think he cheats. I think he just thinks too much of what he does. He's never been that good defensively, but that doesn't mean that he's not trying.

This. We know every offensive player wants to get points. Even if you're playing well, guys like Leino just need those points. It's a whole different when talking about guys like Miller and Eaves. To be good offensively is harder.

IMO Datsyuk has to have a skilled scorer on the wing. There are two realistic options: Franzen and Zetterberg. Cleary will never be that guy. Bertuzzi or Leino can be alternative choices if their game really improve.

The question is: do we want to lose someone if we don't have to? Leino would definitely be claimed by some other team. Send May down and that doesn't happen.

I just think Homer is so much better with ZD and Franzen has played with Filppula in the past (Franzen-Filppula-Hossa was great). Leino-Williams-Bertuzzi is too offensive for a 3rd line, so I'd put Cleary there instead.

LOL. I totally see him bringing much to this team. He doesn't have to score goals to impact. He was awesome at the start of the season.
