Well that was pretty much my point. Helm can't be put anywhere else than 4th line.

If you don't put Helm on the 4th, the only guy you could really drop there is Homer. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Cleary Franzen-Filppula-Bertuzzi Leino-Helm-Williams Homer-Draper-Eaves Maltby Those are the only lines I can come up with. But I still like more ZDH as 1st line and Helm centering the fourth with Williams centering 3rd and Flip the 2nd.

If you swap Cleary and Homer you take away too much defense from that (already very offensive) 3rd line. Plus Homer works better with Z-D than anyone else. Let's give him a try there and if it seems that he really has lost his play we move him to 4th line.

I wouldn't say he's been the best all that time. Iker has dominated and IMO has been the best for a few years now. And goalie doesn't play that big role in soccer compared to hockey for example. Then again Kaká has always been the most dominant player on the pitch, and will be in Real too, even with CRonaldo in the same team.

I would rather say that Kaká is the footballer (soccer) of the decade.

The reason Lilja won't be an enforcer is that he doesn't have to. He's got other talent too. edit: And if Lilja will fight when needed what else do you need? Why get someone who will fight also when not needed?

Still people putting Leino on the 4th line? And Abby in the 3rd over Leino. That's weird. Seems like this is some different Red Wings you're speaking of. Some Red Wings in other dimension with all the same players but different skills?

I totally agree with these line combos. 4th line is pretty much locked because it would be stupid to drop someone like Williams there. That means all the changes are made between the top three lines and those are so far the only two combos that really make sence. I prefer the A over B because playing Flip in the 3rd seems somehow not right. But then again if it would be Team B how much would the 3rd line play? If Babs decides to play those three lines almost evenly I can still see Flip-Leino reaching big numbers in the 3rd line. edit: By the way, is it 'in' the line or 'on' the line?

Why separate Leino and Flip? Anyways, Brad May would still be a solid 4th liner.
