Weird that people are listing guys like Pronger and Giguere for Anaheim over Selanne. Like Kariya I still can partly agree but not these weird suggestions.

Pyorala is definitely not an AHL player. He'll likely play the season on the 3rd and 4th lines and get a lot of PK time. He will be the Finnish player to watch next season along with Leino. MIKA PYORALA INTRODUCTION: Pyorala's career is very interesting. He has improved he's play little by little. First he played many seasons in his hometown club Karpat, growing from 4th line player to a top player. Made a big move in his career by signing with the Swedish Timra IK. Playing a defensive game still produced great numbers in the two seasons he was there. Became a solid player on an international level (will probably be in Vancouver too). Finally took the next step by moving into NHL and Philly. A late bloomer. Was never drafted. Perfect career so far IMO. Has made wise moves, not jumping from a one team to another all the time. By working hard has become closer to his full potential. Not overly big guy, but plays physical and wise game. Every coach's key player. Will become a good NHL level 2-way-forward. 2nd line potential but in Philly will probably play in the 3rd line most of the time. I'm still a Red Wings fan.

I would rate Teemu Selanne over Paul Kariya. Maybe it's bias, maybe not.

Former NHL'er Yuri Butsayev faces rape allegations

Well, this helps our great relationship with our lovely east neighbour even more. There has been recently some tension between our countries. I also know that here in Finland are a lot of people who hate Russians (mainly because of the troubled history the countries share). Wonder how they react to this. I myself have no problem with foreign people, as long as they respect our country and laws. Pav's a great guy! -
Man I'm stupid. I thought the game would be starting 0.30 Finnish time (gmt 2+) but it's 2.30. I somehow looked at the 7.30 and thought like 17.30, added the 7 hour difference there and got 24.30. This really pisses me off. I could have gone to sleep earlier and wake up for the match, but now I dunno if I should watch the game at all. Well, anyway let's hope that the Finns do well and let's hope for a win of course. edit: Do you think Flip's line will play tomorrow against Sabres?

So which defenseman is going to be traded? (poll)

Meech is too important. Can play both F and D. Salary won't be an issue with him either. Lebda will be moved and a forward will be sent down. I think? -
I mean the Czech Hockey Games (and all the other Euro Hockey Tour games) are pretty meaningless and you can't really make any conclusions based on them. The fact is that there are mostly these guys playing who are there just for the experience. I bet there is not a single same player in Team Finland in EHT and Team Finland in Vancouver. ps. Finland beat Sweden 8-3; Marko Anttila (height 6.60) - my favourite player of my favourite team - scored two.

It always brings a smile to my face when thinking Teemu as a kindergarten teacher. It just so I dunno.

Yeah, I mean we don't have enough enforcers so the goaltending will suck so bad.
-
Yeah, I mean the guy has this huge potential but it's being wasted in the Thrashers. He could be so much more. I just hope he won't move to KHL anywhere soon. How about Wings & Lehtonen after few years? Wings have often been the team were players finally reach their potential.
-
I don't understand why Kari Lehtonen isn't in any of your top15 -lists. I mean, many people just don't understand how good goalie he really is. About Kipper. I personally think he's going to be great next season again. I wouldn't put guys like Bryzgalov ahead of him even now.

Well, it's easier to come up with a logo for a team called the 'Red Wings'. But how do you make a logo for the 'Wild'?

21 - the number of spin-o-ramas Leino does before scoring each of his 21 goals (that's 441 spin-o-ramas total)

Check it out! I'm very sorry if this has already been posted. I searched it here, but didn't find it so posted it myself. Let the discussion begin...

Yeah, it's outdoors, next to football (soccer) field. Of course if you wan't to skate in indoors here, you have to make a reservation for the ice time I think. And then there's free icetime for everyone sometimes. But I just love playing outdoors, especially when there's something like -20 (celcius) and snowing.

For sure! I got this hockey rink 1 kilometers away. Been there every year many times. Sometimes I spend the whole day there.

Next year: re-sign Lids 1-year deal, sign Hiller multi-year deal. After next year Lids retires, then sign Doughty or Weber.
