LOL...I could tell you the fanbase will stop grasping a name eerily similar to yours, except we don't do that. Hard to stop doing something we never did, ya know? As for Detroit sucks...nah that's gotta continue. It's too fun. You all should take that as a badge of honor anyway. I debate with a fellow Hawks fan at work about the Detroit sucks chant all the time. He takes it a bit too serious for what it is, as a few here seem to do. It's all harmless fun.

You guys are just looking for something to whine about on the Hawks. I've never heard Hawkeytown used by a single Hawk fan or the organization. The Chicago Tribune has nothing to do with anything that matters related to the Hawks.

I'm pretty sure we got over that a long time ago... If the Hawks fail to trade Campbell (good chance for obvious reasons) and have to deal Sharp, I just don't see this happening. The number of teams that wouldn't be interested in Sharp could probably be counted on one hand. I'd expect a nice NHL ready forward prospect plus a #1 pick for Sharpy. As others said, this move would be done to clean a lot of cap space, not take on an overrated slug like Cleary. And it isn't likely to come from any of the western conference rivals.

Hawks fan here. Dude in case you missed the newsflash, the Chicago economy is pretty darn awful right now too. No it's not to the point of Detroit's, but it certainly is worse than everyone I know has ever seen it. At my work 23 of 55 employees have been laid off since January and the rest of us that remain just took a 10% paycut in addition to shortened hours. We are all feeling the effects of the economy, and I can guarantee you that the poster you all are outraged at is either 1) Feeling the effects himself and not letting on or 2) Just a kid who doesn't know anything about life beyond asking his parents for money. Don't let silly crap like that bother you. It's not worth the effort and in the end it's probably a pimple faced 14 year old that has you riled up. Good luck in the series. I haven't looked forward to a series this much since the 92 cup finals against the Penguins.
