Hossa helped carry our team last year and I thought he fit in perfectly. What is this talk about being selfish with the puck? The guy had over 30 assists last year. And I can't blame him for shooting because he has a ridiculous shot and great offensive awareness. I'll miss the guy, and I can't imagine how well he'll do if they stick him on a line with Kane who, I admit, is probably one of the best playmakers in the league. I just noticed they play San Jose tomorrow. Should be an interesting game with Marleau-Thornton-Heatley vs. Kane-Toews-Hossa. I kind of feel bad for Nabakov and Huet.

Pun intended? Anyway, a nice stat padding game for Roloson.

I was referring to our message board behavior...
-
lol I guess I stand corrected. Can't really say we're any better though.

I can't really blame them for coming here. I think we have more Blackhawks threads than any other hockey forum on the internet. Every couple days we have a new thread dedicated to Chicago. That's why I always laugh when guys on here b*tch about Hawks fans posting on this board and saying they're insecure yet we're the ones starting threads about another team, mostly just to rip on them. I doubt you'll see a bunch of Wings threads on their boards.

Woah, what? I'd kill to have Seabrook on this team.
-
So you predict they won't get any back-to-back points when they already won their first back-to-back game? You even edited to say they won against Edmonton tonight...so your prediction is already wrong.

This. Not only is it chocked with talent but there's some decent speed there too.

Report: Toews, Kane and Keith close to extensions
Tommy_Like_Wingy replied to CenterIce's topic in General
It's probably listed as $7.9 because his deal is front loaded so that what he's making this year. His overall cap hit though is in the $5 mil area like somebody mentioned. -

You're making it sound like they're giving away their players for nothing. -

So he wrote the guy an apology and that was it? -

I don't know the details of the case, but I thought he WAS cleared of all wrongdoing...hence the reason he wasn't sentenced or fined. Or was he? I didn't really follow the story any more than what was posted here. -

Because that's what his lawyers told him to say. -

I'm not defending his off-ice actions at all. I'm just saying there's no proof that he was the one to assault the driver and make off with the cash. I thought I remember they said the cousin is the one who had the money in his pocket. But the fact alone that Kane was with him is enough to get him into trouble. And of course Kane probably had something to do with it. But unless he struck the guy or grabbed the cash I don't see how arguing with someone is illegal. And him not denying anything doesn't mean an admission of guilt. He said what his lawyer(s) told him to say. -

Just playing devil's advocate here but the Simpson case had all evidence pointing towards him being the culprit but due to a technicality he was found not guilty despite that glaring evidence. In Kane's case there is no doubt the cabbie was struck and abused but there's no proof that Patrick Kane was the one doing it. Supposedly his older cousin who was with him was the one who got physical. But once again, that's all hearsay and there was no 'bloody glove' in the taxi proving either way. -

Haha, I wasn't so much pointing out the mistake. I just actually want to know where the other $10 million is supposed to be. -

$20 million + $13 million = $43 million? -

Who do you see them "dumping" that would have a huge impact on the team? -
Wings Will Face a Huge Test Over Next 2 Weeks

This. We're supposed to have a condensed schedule because of the olympics but for some reason it seems like there are larger gaps between games this season than last. -

Ah, and it continues right on cue. -

But, but, but...all the cap experts here said it would never happen. I wonder how (un)friendly the cap hits will be and if they'll be able to keep Hjalmarsson too. -
I wear my blank Wings jersey and I stand up and cheer whenever we score. Nobody does anything. And for the last few years I've been attending Wings games at the United Center I've never seen any kind of violence either. So I'm really not sure what to tell you. Bad luck?

It still wasn't that long ago we lost to the Leafs 5-1. We still have some work to do.

I don't know if this a joke post or not, but what kind of s***ty parent brings an infant to a hockey game? Anyway... You'll have a great time. I live just outside of Chicago and it's an awesome city. The girlfriend and I hit up every game when the Wings come to town and I'm never hassled or bullied at all. The Hawks fans have always been respectful to us and we've been respectful in return. I'm assuming if Wings fans have had problems in the past were probably asking for it.

Chicago chants "Detroit Sucks" when Hawks play other teams?
Tommy_Like_Wingy replied to Miller Brew's topic in General
lol @ everyone taking this seriously They're just goofy chants in light of the rivalries throughout the league. I always just considered them a part of their tradition just like any other chant. But leave it to people on this board to get butthurt over it.
