Cormier has a history of these dangerous cheap shots. If it were up to me he'd never play again. But if he thinks he'll get away with this s*** at the NHL level he'll be the one convulsing on a stretcher. -
If you check out some of the post game interviews both guys were laughing about it and said they just wanted to fight on national TV. Didn't really seem like any bad blood, just wanted to pump up the fans.

Easily one of the best games we've played this year. I fully believe we still own Chicago, just like they own Calgary. Without injuries on both sides we still take them in a 7 game series. I honestly don't know if I could say that about any other team in a 7 game series against Chicago. If we can scrape by and get into the playoffs then I see a WCF repeat. -
If Howard is letting Ott of all people get a puck even near the line he deserves the goal. The only ones who screwed the Wings over were themselves. We can't give up leads.

This. Every fan of every sport will say they have the worst officiating. When you give humans the the power to make decisions that directly affect the game there will be plenty of mistakes made.

Chicago plays Saturday night too so neither team should really have the advantage.

I'm torn over this whole thing. On one hand I hate Burrows. I think he's a whiney, diving, snaggle-toothed ***** and I can't stand the team he plays for or their fans either (laser pointer anyone?). With that said, the officiating in the NHL is bad enough as it is. The last thing we need are refs with personal vendettas against certain players. I'd be fine with Auger and Burrows both being kicked out of the league.

He's easily in my top 3 most fun players to watch. The guy is pinpoint accurate with his passes and is creative as hell.

I like when we go on the PP because I know I've got a 2 minute break where I won't miss any scoring. So I can go pee or grab something to drink. -

I'm really starting to question the team's conditioning methods and trainers. Players who are taken care of DON'T drop like flies like this. Some injuries can't be avoided but this is starting to raise eyebrows.

To be a true Red Wings fan you have to boo Hossa and then whine when Pittsburgh did the same exact thing last year and call it "classless".

Great teams find ways to stay competitive in situations like this and I'd say we're doing a pretty good job of it. We've been a bubble team through most of the year which bodes well for when we finally get our top guys back.

Wow. I wish I could come away from a shutout loss being this positive. And calling another team ******* is a bit ironic since our guys are brittle as hell this year. If somebody hit one of our guys like Kader hit Kane then our guy would be in a coma.
