Long story, pretty much had a fight waiting for me at home. Not a good day. I would of loved to go to the gym yesterday, I dread leg press. I hate doing leg workouts. Today is back/shoulders!!! I have a touch pad microwave. And apparently its on some super high setting that turns frozen dinners into steam bombs. TPBM is goin to the kid rock concert this weekend.
-
Yes. If I won the lottery I would build you a lake... after I payed off a TON of crap. TPBM is now dreading going home from work.
-
Yea that would be nice, but unfortunately debt prevents that. TPBM is wishing they were out on the lake right now.

Provolone. Toasted or un-toasted subs?

Directly kill the innocent. Fly in coach with your friends, or by yourself in first class.

If this means another Datsyuk acceptance speech then hell yea.

Once again, when did he say he didn't want to be in Detroit?
-
I can agree with this. I don't see him coming back for this season. He will be back next season IMO. Play for a year over there, make some money and come back to the NHL. He made it clear he wants to play for only Detroit. He stepped up his level of play this year and deserved more money. Which we couldn't pay him that much. So he left so another team wouldn't pick him up. It sucks how it all turned out, but really stay at your current job making well below what you deserve or leave your job for 1-2 years and make a lot more with the option to return to back. Egroen said it earlier, they offer you that much money how can you say no. This helps us out in cap space, and could potentially keep Hudler on the Wings. (I know a lot of you dont like Hudler and dont want him) Which both parties wanted. Holland wouldn't of offered him a short term contract if it wasn't in our best interests. In Holland I trust. Tell the KHL we do not appreciate these tactics. Tell Hudler that was some bad timing. Give him his year away, pick up a big gritty forward on a 1 year contract, clear some cap space next season, and let Hudler come back if its in the best interests of the club, and fill up the roster with the rest of the available cap space. He has potential to increase his level of play in the KHL, sure he wont get bigger, but doesn't mean he can put more points up. Lets just see how this whole thing plays out.

I only stop for silver and paper. I have some weird hatred for pennies. Its odd. TPBM got REEAAAALLLLLY excited when they announced the pre-season schedule.
-
If by handshake you mean high five then grab a beer then yes I do. TPBM got waaaaay too sunburned this past weekend.

Solid Snake for the previous. Always been a fan of MGS. Rice for sure. You can make so many great dishes with rice. Slingblade or Rainman?

I like the sound of this. I really don't want to see Hudler go, but we do need another big forward. We are good at rotating the puck so another powerful shot from the point would fit quite nicely, another big body to create some traffic, and a right handed shot to throw off the goalie.

Yea the numbers aren't adding up. Something is going on. Lets hope we hear something soon.

I agree Maltby, Homer, and Drapes will hold us back some. Drapes is still valuable with the faceoffs, especially on the 4th line and PK. Leaving Abby at wing to help him out should make up somewhat for the lack of work done by Maltby. We are going to need a big forward to help out on the 2nd/3rd line. We can't expect these guys to be seeing straight after a few weeks of getting smashed into the boards by someone 6in taller and 25lbs heavier. We got guys that can finish checks and take a hit or two, but without some guy to help take some abuse we are gonna see a lot of guys gettin wore out fast. However, Im staying optimistic about next year. I expect some rough games and a rough start to the season, but I do think Holland will make some moves near the deadline and and some grit to help even out the lines. Its still too early to assume we are going to fighting uphill battles all season. We will have our tough games for sure, but I don't think we are officially screwed. And maybe this is Howards time to show us what hes got. Everyone has to start somewhere right?
-
I agree, I think our guys are ready to step up. Time for the young guys to show us why we picked em. The drive of these guys with the intensity they can play with is going to cause some great plays and bring a lot more to our game. Helm has proven himself time and time again. Abby is looking promising, a little more experience and he is going to be a bigger threat on the 4th line. My only concerns for this year are Maltby and Howard. Granted I haven't seen a lot of Howard, but what I have seen I wasn't impressed. Could be he needs more than a few games a season to get the experience he needs to prove his worth. I dont thin Maltby has much left in him, especially with some of the younger guys coming up. Can he keep up and play with that much drive? Sure we can say the same thing about Drapes, I guess I let that slide due to his faceoff ability. But anyway...... I feel really optimistic for this coming year, I think we will have a slightly rough start but I think we are going to have a great season. Im really pumped and its barely July. The next few months will be brutal.

I love having Hudler on the team. I understand we can use the cap money on a player in their prime right now, or with more potential. BUT I swear ive said this in another thread, if we have the cap space and need a forward that we know can produce and has been improving why not keep him. If he goes to another team, I hope he will still be Happy Hudler.

I have not, but it is on my to-do list. TPBM has said "Hey check this out" then proceeded to do what they thought was cool and ended up hurting themselves. i.e. crushing cans, leading to punching cans to crush them, leading to splitting knuckles open on the counter top.

the top 50 professional hockey players in the world today!
C20lw replied to Coolio Mendez's topic in General
This list makes my head hurt, and thats before I consider the Crosby factor. Give a big WTF? to this list. I do agree Crosby should be lower, and Z should be ranked a lil higher than 26. I don't think we should have a lot of wings in the top 50. Glad we have a few, but how they came to some of this spots is just mind boggling. This list is flawed or we are missing key points of how the 22 pt categorys are weighted. Might have to bust out the Chewbacca defense on this one. That does not make sense! -
Holland "Not Optimistic" about re-signing Hossa
C20lw replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Yes that would be great. Anyway we can get conferenced into their negotiations? -
This season was great. So many moments where I was on the edge of my seat, throwing my hands up and cheering, high-fiving any/everyone in range, and yelling at the TV for numerous reasons. Hossa's fight, Sammys OT goal against the Hawks, Helms breakaway goal, Helms PK, Abdelkader's 2 goals, Filp shooting more, Kronwall's hit on Havlat, Datsyuk scrumming with Neidermeyer, beating the Ducks, Leino's first NHL goal, so many moments stick out. It was a great season. Unfortunate the way it ended, but hey we played with all we had. Through injuries, fatigue, nay-sayers, and having a huge target on our backs we went back to the Finals. This thread is getting me fired up for next year. I can't wait to see em back in action.

Yea it was bad, but kind of funny. She didn't know what she was gonna do when she got up there. She loved every second of it though.
