Yep that would be us, completely unaware of the photo being taken hahahaha. Thanks for posting it we appreciate it. Ill have to check later on today, if I have some good ones of you guys around Draper I can get em up.
-
If you wouldn't mind, that would be great. My gf is a Draper fanatic and would love as much evidence of that day as possilbe. THANKS!!
-
Hahahaha!!! My gf and I were right behind you guys! That was hilarious, he really did not expect to see himself on that banner. Glad you guys had a great time too, especially driving out from kzoo!!
-
It was a great time. The gf and I showed up a lil before 11 and waited it out. It was a nice day and the shade kept it cool in line. WRIF showed up around 12 and set up some stuff and cheerin up the crowd. Gf got her jersey signed and got a picture with him. She flipped out for the rest of the day. She was so nervous she was shaking at the table. But he was really nice and seemed to be having fun with the fans. Line wasn't long at all, I had a great time.

Holland "Not Optimistic" about re-signing Hossa
C20lw replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
I really don't know how to feel about the whole Hossa situation. He is a great player that was a huge benefit in the regular season. Idk what happened in the playoffs either he choked or got pressured too much to make anything happen. But can we sign him and still fill the roster? He gave us a great year, but is it worth losing some depth? Id like to see him next year, but if we can't sign him Im not gonna be upset. Howard as backup does worry me. -
No I haven't, but I am not opposed to it. I think it would be quite interesting. TPBM has been in a bar fight.
-
Yea I plan to be there, I missed an opportunity last year to get my gf Draper jersey signed. So I need to make up for that

If that were to occur I don't think I could ever get to a game. Id have to take time off of work or leave really early to make it on time. Not that the drive would be far, but the horrible traffic congestion in that area. Maybe I just have bad luck and get stuck in traffic at the absolute worst times. But I dont recall ever having a succesful voyage through the are during a Pistons game. Some people may have better access to the Palace and thats great for them, if we do go to the Palace I hope some fans can benefit. It is a nice venue I give em that, but location should play a huge part in the decision. Keep it downtown. Renovate the Joe if its cheaper, or move it closer to Comerica/Ford Field. Even having multiple games in a day wouldn't be terrible. If anything pedestrain traffic would be the worst thing. And there aren't a lot of days where multiple games occur on the same day. So going to the wings wouldn't be much more difficult if the Joe gets moved. A lot of people park all over Detroit and either walk or ride the people mover over. Hire some people, stimulate the economy in the area, and renovate or build a new venue.

It will be good to see him for a few games this year. I agree he will come up to cover up for injuries, but still nice to know hes still around. He can def teach some of the younger guys, and still have a presence in the NHL.
-
I have no problem with a Bruins/Flyers game. Should be a great game. I just dont like NBC contributing to anything to do with the NHL. Idk why, just doesn't sit right with me.

Thats tough, im not a fan of baked turkey. But loved baked chicken. Not a fan of sliced chicken (for sandwhiches) but love sliced turkey. Overall I would say chicken. Tend to eat that more often. Provolone or American cheese?

Both are great players, but have different styles. Z is great all over the ice and def showing some real leadership on the ice. Dats is stellar with his Dangle Dangle and can get the plays going. They have awards to back up each of them as amazing players. Z spent the Pengs series shutting down Crosby whenever possible. Dats came out and played with a pretty serious injury. They play there roles and they play them well. They both can put up stats, they both can make the plays when it counts, and they both are capable of making mistakes. They both wear the Winged Wheel and are proud of it. They are going to be here for a while, building this team up, and carrying their weight. YOu can argue all you want about who is better, a lot of people have said we all have favorites. Bottom line is they play as a unit. I dont know if anyone "hates" Z or Dats, if they do I'm sorry but your an idiot. They have and will contribute so much to this franchise and this team. If you base whos better on table hockey... well Dats took that one. If you base it on the hotter female companion......yea you get where im going with that.

When i was younger (like 4 or 5) my grandma taught me a bit, and a lil about knitting. I retained nothing, thus why the gf does all my sowing work. TPBM is not laughing I used to sow.

Pickles, never been a fan of onions. Green or Red peppers?

Its kind of weird to think about, hes been great for the team and the fans. I dont think ive ever heard of him ever snubbing any fan. I know in the past few years he has slipped, but his presence on the bench and on the ice was felt. You can't tell me whenever he took a slap shot from the blue line none of you went "OH s***" when opposing players (even goalies) flinched. I know the team is moving forward and getting some fresh talent into the lines and we don't have many options but to let Cheli go. But he still will be missed. Thanks Cheli, good luck next year. Hope you are happy in whatever you decide to do. But for the love of God dont play for Anahiem. I would seriously hate to hate you.

All this talk of Stanly Cups, Dynastys, and Hockeytown are getting me really excited for next season...... and it not even July..... Damn you summer time... damn you.... I kind of agree, some Pens fans are upset. Expecting more than what they got after winning the cup. The Wings say congrats and well see you next year, no claiming they are the next dynasty. We don't think they are the dominating force in the NHL. Although they are an extremely tough team to play against and beat. I really dont know what drives some fans to still be "mad" or "hate" the Wings/Detroit, maybe some people are just sore winners. Maybe they expected more people to praise their team or bow down to Crosby. And when noone really did, it made em realize they still have a bit to go before they can be the new "Dynasty" in the NHL. Lets see what they can bring next year, and see if they can step into the big shoes they bought for themselves.

Agreed. And I don't think it'd be benefecial even IF it happened. I agree with the Sammy statement a few posts up. We have an inconsistent player with talent already on the roster. Don't need another whos declining fast into retirement.
-
That is a true statement. I think itd be a blast, my gf would sell a lung to go visit Drapers. TPBM has to go to court tomorrow.
-
I luckily dont need either, but if i did I would have to say contacts. I have bad luck with personal objects. Lost countless pairs of sunglasses, and have destroyed so many cell phones because I dropped them. Cheerios or Kix?

Im expecting a lot of crap from this, buuuuut I do like the Preds. I have family in Nashville, been to a few games, went to the Wings away game in Dec down there. Fans are great, always a good exciting time watching the game. They play some decent hockey, a few guys have a lot of talent. For the record I despise TooToo. Damn whistles. I do like to watch Bruins and Caps. Both clubs have a lot of talent, and when they are on they are on. Give me a good match up and be glued to any game.

Im leaning towards Padme. Sure Leia killed jabba, but she did kiss her brother and that was just akward. Obi Wan or Qui Gon?
-
Yoda by far. Return of the Jedi or Empire Strikes Back?

As long as Today = any Friday im happy. TPBM enjoys peanut butter chocolate chip granola bars.
