All kidding aside, there is no stat for "having your big ass in front of the goalie" which Holmstrom does with perfection. Sometimes he tips it and gets the goal, sometimes he doesn't. But he's screened plenty of goals in the playoffs, so why not be a trooper and drop the ninety-SUX and HHO and show some maturity?

I think it's a little unfair for people to expect Leino to explode onto the scene like, say, Helm has done. That being said, he's not a liability, and has done exactly what we brought him up to do, which is not screw up and play a solid 4th line.

I would venture to say a fair majority of the fans who attend Red Wings game live in that county. Suddenly we're not so bankrupt, are we? The car companies going out of business is terrible news for everyone, including the people who live in Pittsburgh. It's akin to when your Steel Mills closed. Every city goes through hard times. Every single game this playoff that has been played in Detroit has been sold out. The fact is this team has been competitive for 20 years, while Pittsburgh has not. When they weren't successful, the team was just about ready to pack it's bags and move out of town. So I was in the Ala Moana Center yesterday (the biggest mall in Hawaii) and to my suprise they had a big TV display of Red Wings and the Penguins playing in last years SCF. Well, they show all the big hits, all the goals and saves, and then to my suprise they show Peter Sykora scoring that game winner in OT, then cut to a clip of Mario raising the cup, and then a fade to black with game 1, 2pm local time. I'm not sure if that's being televised nationally, but if it is it should be a crime XD

Well, assuming we get our guys back from injury, which I think we will, we have great forwards, better forward depth, much better defense and a better goalie. Pittsburgh, on the other hand, has the 2 best offensive players in the league. I'll take the better team over the better 2 players any day.
