    Whats the deal with Oulahan

    What's your scoop on McGrath?

I understand that you always need to have the last word on this forum. I'll let you have it for the sake of sanity.

    Loyalty: A Double Edged Sword

Red Wings are only the best and classiest team in the entire NHL because of loyalty. I hope other GMs don't employ Holland's methods.

Charming. Can we talk hockey now and keep your offtopic bulls*** in the water cooler please? k,thanks!

    Whats the deal with Oulahan

Exactly and he comes cheap. Wings don't need to make any sign any named FAs, we'll probably run with this kid and, perhaps, sign an impressive invitee during camp. I'm ready for the season to start already!

Because someone posts in a thread about salary structure doesn't make them want said player. You're ignorant if you think otherwise. For the record, I NEVER wanted Hossa back at the cost of our depth. But I am guilty of finding some enjoyment in working numbers. I'm also happy Hudler is gone, never was a fan of him either. Reading comprehensions isn't hard, you people should sue your school system. You should definitely get your lunch money back at the very least.

    Hell yeah! I'd take Sharp.

Wait, so you think hawks potentially losing one of top key players in a trade is like hossa scoring a first goal? Lol. Your logic (or lack thereof) is overwhelming. Please stop posting, its causing the overall IQ of the forum going lower.

5 Hossa scores first goal threads? Over reaction much? I could see 5 Hossa cost the Blackhawks Toews, Kane and/or Keith threads, but not 5 Hossa scores first threads... big difference. Hawks are shopping Sharp and already lost Havlat, and will soon lose more key players. It's just fun to watch Chicago crumble before they even get started. You don't agree? Unless, of course, you would rather talk about the weather instead of hockey this offseason? We could talk about how many moles Bowman has on his ass, would that please you?

Actually, many of us here (including myself) were all against Holland resigning Hossa due to costing us our depth and better players such as Franzen and/or Zetterberg (pre-signings). It appears Blackhawks are now shopping Sharp [ http://dailyherald.com/story/?id=307060 ]. <--- expect to see a lot of good players on the Blackhawks being shopped. They're going to be facing a salary cap from hell.

And everyone knows he scores 0 goals when it matters... btw, Havlat had 15-points to Hossa's 15-points in the playoffs, and Havlat played 7 less games and wasn't on a line with the likes of Datsyuk. Mmmhmm

Hossa: "Its great to be in a hockey town."

I fail to see how this is a dig, but maybe it is... Maybe he's mad that Wings signed Franzen instead of him, who knows? With that said, any town with hockey can be a hockey town, but there is only one true "HockeyTown".

We have this kid named Oulahen in the AHL right now that'd be a solid 4th liner. He HAS to play or we'll lose him like we did Quincey. Nobody likes losing quality players for nothing. Regardless, our 4th line is set. We could use a solid 3rd liner to fill either Hudler or Sammy's spot. As of right now the only guys that could potentially fill those spots is Helm and Leino. Part of me thinks Helm will be a fine 3rd liner with his speed. Wings are still pretty damn deep when you think about it.

KHL will honor NHL's decision on Hudler

Someone should put a tent over this circus.

Red Wings looking to replace Hudler

Don't forget folks, Oulahan likely won't clear waivers and we could lose him like we did Quincey. Oulahan certainly would be a nice fit on the 4th line for the money.

    Loyalty: A Double Edged Sword

Loyalty has made Detroit Red Wings the best team in the NHL. The trend is a proven method that works, hope Holland continues on with it and I hope other teams' GM DON'T employ it! Wings didn't lose anyone needed or irreplaceable. They'll fill some holes and still likely make it to the WCF... and possibly win the cup.

That too, Leino will have a bigger impact than most here fathom.

    Nichol Signs with Sharks

Teams such as Chicago and Sharks seem to be disregarding the cap completely. I cannot understand why they would put themselves in this situation, this could destroy their franchise. I'm glad Wings are going to be positioned very nicely in cap space next year. Holland will be able to clean house with the all the firesales and refuges that will be walking... haha.

    Observations on Callahan's Skill

Anyone know when he'll start playing in Grand Rapids. I am excited to see these young guys in action. Will Ferreo be in GR soon?

As I said in a previous post, Chicago will fall as long as that dips*** John McDonough has his nitty paws in the decision making. Chicago just got significantly worse this year.

My theory on why Hudler is jumping ship

Hudler also stated on the record that he wants to be a leader on the team, in addition to more ice time.

    Forsberg?

Forsberg was a beast in his prime. I enjoyed watching him in Colorado, but hated him just as much... If Forsberg was as good as he was in the late 90s, I would take him in heart beat. But sadly, his career is over.
