Chicago should put a tent over that circus. I saw someone else wrote that and its so true.
-
Lol. And you wish to call out my grammar? ^ Hypocrite. Get a life.
-
If I had a dime for everytime a NHL player said they would like to play in Detroit.... I could buy me a new 2010 Mustang GT500
-
Lol. You are just sooo cool. Oh wait, just kidding! You really do need to get a life, seriously. Sooo while my wife and I were spending the better half of the day at Silver Lake sand dunes and resort, playing, riding, and chilling on the beach soaking up some sun... you are in your moms basement desperately looking for internet spelling errors. Do you think I care about a missed letter? How sad of life you must have?! Please save valuable oxygen and kill yourself. Thank you.

Havlet should thank his lucky stars he's outta that s*** hole. I would love to have Havlet on the Wings... hell, I'd take Havlet over no-show-hossa.
-
Well, isn't that just a kick in the ol' nut sack. They should have put him in charge of mail duty. I'm sure Tallon will take the first ticket out of Chicago when the opportunity presents itself, which should be rather quickly. Lots of teams out there wish they had a guy who could turn their club around like Tallon did for the Hawks.
-
Depends on the Refs, really. The playoff refs would probably deem it as offsides because it was going too fast for them. Then they'll allow them to skate with "too many men".
-
Exactly, Tallon wanted no part of Campbell's overpaid contract or Huet for the price they locked them up for. All this was pushed on him by John McDonough. He didn't want Hossa for 12 years either. Edit, the problem in Chicago still exists.
-
How man times did Chicago win the cup since 1961? ...oh wait, never mind. What kind of trophy did Chicago win for losing? Must be a good one! So in your logic losers are still winners? What kind of special Olympics do you watch? Can you please tell me how many teams would love to not win a cup in 50 years....? I bet they are all lining up, dips***.
-
I couldn't disagree more. Chicago will continue to be duds no matter who the GM is. The problem in Chicago wasn't Tallon, it is John McDonough.... that prick wants his nitty paws on everything and it is hurting the team. Tallon did a good job finding young talent and seemed to have a good eye on scouting, and seemed to have a good plan for their future... which could have worked out nicely if McDonough didn't f*** everything up. Chicago just got worse today. I'm sure Tallon will find a job rather quickly, and I'm sure if he goes to a weak team that is in dyer need of finding talent, Tallon will be the man to turn their club around. Blackhawks will continue on being a club with issues as long as their is "too many chiefs and not enough indians" (no pun intended). Not to toot my own horn, but I am usually right (pun intended)

Does this mean Yzerman is headed for Chicago (e5)?

Epic meltdown in chicago-land. Sad season in Chi-town if you're a hawk fan. I love it!
-
Wow, just when you think Chicago couldn't fall apart anymore, they have a total meltdown.
-
I think there would be a better chance that Hossa finds a flaw in his new Chicago contract and terminates it to resign with the Wings than Sundin coming here.
-
Nobody. Here's why: Zetterberg Datsyuk Holmstrom/Cleary Franzen Filppula Leino/Helm/Holmstrom Malt Drap Abby/Oulahan We're fine.
-
I'm going to miss Chelios the most. I want him to be part of the Red Wings for life. I could see him making an excellent assist coach.
-
Because back in 2005/06 Lidstrom was very vocal about contemplating retirement before resigning. And because Lidstrom isn't Chelios or Hasek. His skills at 41 have nothing to do with his retirement. He will retire because that's what he wants to do... People don't understand (or comprehend) how lucky we are that he resigned back in 2006.
-
Lidstrom is as likely to play in the NHL at 41 as Hossa was to resigning with the Red Wings all capped out; Slim-to-none. Even if Lidstrom resigns (which I highly doubt he will), he's not going to resign for multiple years. Why spend all the cap space on a forward when a defensemen will need to be replaced. Again, you fail at basic logic.
-
I'm not entirely sure Holland will be looking for a big name forward. I think, with Lidstrom retiring, he'll want a solid defensemen.
-
Hudler has no future as a Red Wings. Zetterberg will be the leader and Hudler isn't defensively responsible enough for more ice time. I was never a fan of Hudler because of all the risks associated with him.
-
It appears that if the Wings have them, then Chicago wants them at any cost. Kind of flattering and irritating at the same time. One would think Chicago would want their own identity and build success through their own General Manger's savvy-ness, but that's a long shot. All they did this off season was get a miminal bit better at best and ruin their future. It has been a sad-sad off season if you're a Blackhawk fan. Must be sickening watching your future crumble away.
-
That article is coming from Columbus and they totally hacked up what Kenny Holland really said. If you listen to the actually audio interview from start to finish, you wouldn't have made your post. It's easy to hack some quotes from an interview to paint an entirely different picture from the what really was said. I actually thought you were smarter than that egroen, guess not.

This gives the team inspiration to win a cup for him. He should go out with a bang.
-
VS So in your logic a "weaker team" = "DOOMED!"? Really? Wings were a "weaker team" in 2007/08 with the cup champion roster than the 2008/09 non-cup champions roster. How did the 09 team work out? By your logic the 2007/08 team should have been DOOMED!, as well. Only an ignorant illogical person would think the 2010 could improve over the 2009 Red Wings team in a salary cap world. Obviously you know s*** about the salary cap and how it effects the Wings... Zetterberg and Franzen didn't have big contracts before 2010, which means NO WAY CAN ANY GM IN THE WORLD KEEP HOSSA, LIDSTROM, RALFI, ZETTERBERG AND FRANZEN. I swear I don't understand how some of you dips***s think Holland can just s*** out more cap space?! Rhetorical question, don't answer that. You should just keep panicking like the fair weather fan that you are, meanwhile I will enjoy season with the Red Wings and enjoy their 2010 playoff run.
