He could be a Legacy, who knows? Avs took a risk on him. Osgood is a proven playoff goalie. Last time I checked, championships isn't won by the first 7 games of regular season, championships won by the last 7 games in the post-season.

When Wings lose it's always the goalies fault. Mhmmm... Sad! I have not read one person write in this thread that Avalanche might just be a good team with not the "best" players, but the "right" players. I'm willing to bet that Avs aren't doing this well this year because they suck. Maybe people should stop underestimating them. They are playing like they have nothing to lose...and they don't. Wings played great despite only getting one point with half of our Hall Of Famers (and top scorer) out. Lebda was a bonehead. Ozzy fell asleep. Bad line change = 1 point. Oh well, if the Wings continue playing like they did tonight, they'll go HOT and steam roll to the finals again. Rather them start off slow than to end slow.

They're an eastern team. If they were in the West, they'd be average at best. If Wings were in the East, we could play 50% and still dominate.

Screening the goalies isn't the issue. Keeping the puck in the offensive zone long enough to set up the screen is the issue.

The team is playing lazy and uninterested hockey. Hopefully this loss will embarrass them to the point where they start playing Red Wing hockey. They have the skill, they just need to pull it together and play their game.

Wings are playing lazy right now and appear to be trying to play the game on talent alone. Whenever they play like this, they lose until they figure out they need to start working hard. As a fan that's been watching Red Wings hockey since the stone-age, I can assure you they'll turn it around, they always do!

Wings needed this loss, the boys need an embarrassment like this. They've been lazy and need a shake up. I think this loss is just what the doctor ordered. The entire team was lazy except for Helm. Lids, Ralfi, Zetter, and Dats were all invisible. Ericsson was brutal. all in all, wings need to pull it together. I'm not worried, Wings are the best team in the league, undoubtedly with the best management and a top-notch coach in Babcock. They'll get it together.

Must have been a different Quincey that was called up and played solid in the playoffs when Schneider was injured... Q wanted more ice time and that wasn't an option for him here.

Like I stated above, Quincy wanted a chance at being a top 4. No way was he going to bump Kronwall or Ralfi down and get their ice time. Of course Holland could have been an ******* and forced him to stay to get little ice time, he granted Quicy his chance by placing him on waivers. (Holland tried trading Quincy, but obviously nothing came of it). Holland and the Wings will gain more by being honest, true to his word, and caring about players needs and wants. That's why players want to come here... they know they are taken care of.

I'm sure there was method behind Holland's madness. If I remember correctly, there was rumor that Quincy wanted to crack a top 4 d-man and requested to be moved for a chance to prove himself. If this is correct, Holland let him go out of courtesy of what Quincy wanted.
