Give props to the Penguins for taking full advantage of their opportunities and Wings injuries. I'm still laughing my ass of at the 20+ second of too many men non call against the Pens. I am bitter about the cheap shot Malkin took on Zetterberg at the end of game 2. Bettman clearly bent the rules on that instigator penalty. Kudos to them for taking advantage. I doubt their win feels hollow, by no means was it easy for them to win. The injured Red Wings and the AHL roster fought them hard to the end!

You misread what I typed. I said: Our Zetterberg: '03 All-Rookie Team '08 Conn Smythe Owned Your Crosby: '07 Art Ross '07 Lester B. Pearson '07 Hart Memorial Trophy '07 First All-Star Team '06 All-Rookie Team '07, '08, '09 All-Star Game '07 Mark Messier Leadership Award Your superstar (aka the worlds best hockey player to ever lace em up) was shut down and OWNED by Zetterberg. Zetterberg made your Crosby (aka the bestestz playerz in the whole widezzzz worldzzz) invisible in the SCF series. Our rookie (Justin Abdelkader) who played only 3 games in the SCF out performed your Crosby (aka the bestestz playerz in the whole widezzzz worldzzz) hockey player.

It's all set, I just called Holland and told him to login to LGWs, he said they are locked for next season. Hold on one sec......, gotta fax the paperwork to Hossa....... Okay, I'm back. What was I saying????? .... It gets so damn busy being a fan on this message forum, ya know getting players signed and stuff. Shew! Stressful.
-
Well thank you for educating me. I didn't know Crosby won the Conn Smythe trophy in 2008. I'll be damned, this entire time I thought it was Zetterberg who won the Conn Smythe in 2008. Your hockey knowledge is greater than mine. I shall gracefully bow out and let you continue telling us how Crosby is the best player to ever play the game. Was this image photoshopped? I am confused.

What "bigger fish" does Wings fans have to "fry"? Again, can you please explain to me how a random message forum discussion will play into next years UFAs decisions and signings? Are you really Ray Shero posing as some ignorant dips*** on a random fan forum?
-
Funny. The "worlds best player in hockey" was owned by Zetterberg two years straight. Put this guy in the Western Conference and he will no longer be claimed as the "worlds best player in hockey"... well Bettman may still try to feed us bulls***, but nobody buys into it. Crosby who?
-
So a Hockey message board (Red Wings fan site--in the "general discussion" forum) shouldn't talk about hockey? What "bigger" decisions do the fans need to make with our UFAs? Do we, as fans, have the powers to decide what our GM does? Do you think Kenny Holland hangs out at LGWs to help sway his decisions? Are you serious?

I hope they sterilize and clean up the cup really good after goon is done with. It's kinda gross thinking about the things he and Melkan are doing to it. Note to the league: Please sterilize the cup extra-extra good cause the cup will soon be coming back home to Hockeytown where it belongs.

Oh, the child molester looking gumby dude that Bettman is constantly sucking off all the time... Yeah, he's in the media all the time for no good reason other than to ruin the respectable game of NHL. That guy should have been a swimmer, cause he's good at diving. And he crys a lot too. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Who's this Crosby guy everyone keeps mentioning? Does he play for the Penguins? I never even noticed him out there....
-
We officially have a winner ladies and gentleman. This thread starter has officially won the complete dumbass thread award. Nice work! Now please step away from the computer!

Crosby who? Does he play for the Penguins? I didn't notice him out there...
-
Questions to ask yourself is: Can he skate / speed? Is he solid defensively? Does he keep his stick on the ice to take away passes and find interceptions? Is he strong on the puck? Can he play the puck possession game i.e. pass, take passes? I must say, Staal was the biggest problem for the Wings in the finals. I would like to see a player like him on the team.
-
I'm not sure who is eligible for raises, but I doubt we'll see this Penguin again next year. And for sure in 2011 they will some issues. Didn't they give away a lot of their top prospects too? What will Pens look like next year?
-
Pens could barely win against an injured Red Wings team, I doubt they'll be so lucky again (if they do make it to the SCF -- which they won't). Wings is built for many years to come and will only get better. Penguins will dismantle, a few of their players will jump ship. They won't be able to afford to be a contending team for awhile, and with the way their fans are, Penguins may go bankrupt before they are contenders again....
-
I am so ******* proud of this team! I live in central michigan (home of Ferris State University) and the support the Wings is getting here is simply amazing. I swear every one here is wearing a Red Wing jersey, wearing Wings paraphernalia, and have Red Wings flag on their car. This team has ******* guts. We are lucky to live here in Michigan and witness the legacy of the best hockey club in the world.... Red Wings fans are the best! Everyone who is a Wings can who read this, I solute you! You guys / gals are the best!!! It's a beautiful day in Hockeytown!
-
The Red Jersey touched the puck like they were expecting the whistle, then the unexpected bad giveaway occurred. I think that bad goal ruined the game. I understand bad (non)-calls happen, but HOW THE HELL does the linesman miss that? He was standing right there. What is your feeling on the bad goal?
-
I say let Hudler go and so the team can bulk up on the size more...
-
Hossa may not have performed in the finals (neither did Crysby), but he did help us get to the finals. Without him, it could have been the Ducks and Pens for the cup.... I want Hossa to resign at a very very reasonable price so he can have another chance to hoist the cup.
-
I think Hossa will stay for an even bigger discount now. After coming up short, I think they will all be more driven to win the cup next year. Red Wings didn't even play like they wanted the cup this year and they still made it to game 7 of the SCFs. If Wings actually wanted it (and worked for it), they would have it again right now. Then Hossa would be heading off to a non-contender team (Pittsburgh / Oilers) for a big pay day. Yes I said Pittsburgh, I doubt Pittsburgh will do anything again for a long time (if they don't go bankrupt first)
-
I doubt we'll be seeing the Penguins deep in the playoffs (if they even make the playoffs) again for awhile. Their team is due to dismantle and they are having cap issues. Their GM doesn't have the mojo like Kenny Holland does. Pittsburgh is a sinking ship, I expect to see players jumping off like crazy now.
-
Sadly, Wings were too injured and depleted from the start of the series. Penguins should share the cup with the Ducks (and Chi-town), because that's the only reason why they won the best of 7. If Wings were healthy and coasted through the playoffs (unfortunately western is more competitive and harder division) like the Penguins did, Hossa and the Wings would be drinking from the cup after 5 games of the series. Fortunate for Penguins, unfortunate for the Wings. Nobody can control injuries. Pens were healthy, Wings were not.

No. Wings should play a funner and more competitive team than the Penguins. I want to see Caps/Wings series. Penguins are ******* boring to watch, all they do is interfere, hold, clutch... pathetic hockey. They are disgrace to NHL... Caps would be a much better series. This thread sucks, btw.
