This Red Wings team is the best in the NHL. They played through injuries and came up only one goal and a bounce short to keep the Cup in Hockeytown. Our depth is is amazing and we have a very bright future for many years to come.

The Wings were really banged up. It's amazing they made it this far. You have to proud of this team!

Could Penguins win the cup if they had the injuries Red Wings have/had? I'm proud of the Wings, man. Despite being depleted, injured and hungover from the cup last year, they just kept coming! Ericsson had that surgery and was back in. Lidstrom had some major issues with his groins. Datsyuk with his bum foot. Lilja with a concussion. Kops with his fracture. Wow, this team is AMAZING to come this close. No other team could battle through what they did... Give credit where credit is due. The Detroit Red Wings is the best team in the NHL.

the dynasty is not going to end anytime soon. But I agree. Mike is an amazing owner and Holland is a magician.

Injuries aside, Wings are the best team in the NHL. My point is Wings are true competitors every year.... and for many more years to come. Pens got a few lucky bounces and calls / non-calls and were lucky enough to not face any dominating physical teams like the Ducks. Wings luck ran out. Wings are the best team in the NHL. Look at everything they went through... no other team could do what the Wings did.

I don't think Wings should retool much. This team is amazing... I would say tweak some things, but not retool.

Penguins might have got the lucky bounce to win the cup, but Detroit is still Hockeytown, forever. Penguins will probably be going bankrupt again in the next 10 years and Detroit will bring 3 more cups home where it belongs. Despite the loss, the Detroit Red Wings are still the best team in the NHL. Could Penguins win if Malkin, Gill, and Talbot was out injured - like the Wings suffered? I doubt it. Wings are still the best.

I don't think we need to make any big changes. Hossa should resign with us for cheap. I think Hudler should go so we can get more weight on the team.

No. It's bad for NHL for Penguins to play in the SCFs again. I think Caps vs Wings would be funner to watch!

That's what I expect to. I do think Red Wings will go far again next year in the POs. Will they make the SCF again? I'm not ruling them out! We're going to be the best team in the league for many years to come.

The loss to the Islanders in the regular season was a harder hit for me. Not sure why. I am proud of this team, and I still know they are the best team in the NHL

I'm not saying Hudler is a bad player. I would like to see more bulk on the roster. Sammy can go too... but I don't think his talent can be replaced for the money. Unless we have a black ace to fill his spot.

Kinda how I feel. I really had no excitement for watching this game and the loss was easiest to take. The regular season loss to the Islanders pissed me off worst. The officiating was awful in the playoffs.

That's not at all how the first 54 minutes was, at all. Wings had their chances in the 3rd. The hole was too deep

No, Red Wings are the better team. Hopefully Bettman won't favor crysby and Pen(i)s next year. We were shafted on the icing goal.
