I'm not impressed with Penguins Defensemen at all. Chicago had more of threat than these guys. This was a MUST WIN game for Penguins and they still barely squeaked by a win.
-
Wings outplayed Pens and came up short. Everyone here knew tonight was going to be a wash, and besides, a sweep is kind of boring.,
-
I posted 5 different infractions, yet you keep coming back to this one. We get it, it's only a "legit" call if it's against the Wings, Pens don't ever "obstruct" or "interfere", ever! Please stop crying
-
Okay, got it. It's called "body position" if it's the Pens and "obstruction" if it is the Wings. K, now I see your reasoning
-
I didn't even notice. I thought it was today.
-
Correct me if I am wrong, but did you not start a thread about Zetterberg after game 2, which was consequently deleted by the mods?
-
Where's the outrage when Hossa got laid out at center ice when the puck was not even near him? Where's the outrage when Malkin tripped up Kronwall.. or the trip on Helm? Or holding on Lidstrom... where's the outrage? See how this works, junior? We can ALL find s*** to throw. ***-for-tat. STOP CRYING!!!!!
-
Lol. Okay, we are not suppose to judge or complain about the officiating at all tonight. But Pens fans are the exception to the rule and continue to complain about the unfairness... but Wings fans are "setting up an excuse if Pens win"?? Wow. Just WOW!!! Pot, meet kettle.

You make it sound as if it's only Detroit that anticipates and takes the ice away. Detroit is just the best at it, they know the lanes and take their spots forcing the opposing players to either skate through them (which would make for physical exciting hockey), pass the puck with savvy puck possesion, or go around them. You seriously think taking ice away or getting in the lanes is "obstruction"? Am I correct, is this your interpretation of obstruction? Me thinks Therrien has brain washed you.
-
Until it's inked on the dotted line, then these types of thread are total BS. Hossa and the Wings don't need any distractions right now. If we win or don't win the cup will also play into what happens in the off-season. BS threads are BS.

Depending on your interpretation of "obstruction". That word was over used last year by Therrien, and is overrated. If "obstruction" is claiming the ice, then I doubt see it called. If your forward is skating and our defenseman is skating in front of him, it's NOT your forwards ICE. If you're forward wants it, he either needs to skate through our defenseman or go around him. I think it's hilarious that you guys think the ice belongs to your forwards... what do you want, our defenseman to say "Oh, pardon me... I'll go ahead and move out of your way so you can have a good scoring chance"? Do you want us to score your goals for you too... Like game 2? C'mon man. Stop crying!

You really need to stop dwelling on Zetterberg. I know you're frustrated that he owns Crosby time-and-time again, but you really need to understand that worse calls were let go than Zetterberg covering the puck on Ozzies back. *IF* the refs even saw that play in the scrum, the rules are still conflicting because the puck wasn't even on ice. I think the cheap shot taken on Hossa at center ice was much more obvious than a scrum in the net. Get over it. Your team played well... just not well enough, you need to stop crying about the refs and look at your own teams incompetence.

Before the series started, top posters were discussing facts and backed it with stats. Pens fans disregarded the facts and stats and continued on with the "Crosby and Malkin are the bestestest playerz in the whole-wide-worldzzzz, just look at their STATS!" When respectful members brought up your teams +/- stats, Pens fans were quick to say "STATS MEANS NOTHGING!" as they quickly changed the subject away from the FACTS. Fact. Wings will win this series. Why? Heart, will and determination... and, most importantly, team defense-and-depth. The quick schedule to start the series (back-to-back games) and our injuries favored the Penguins significantly. They failed to take advantage. Now Wings only need to win 2 of 5 games; Pens need to win 4 of 5 games. As the series lingers on, it favors the Wings in terms of health. Can Pens defy probability and upset Detroit? Yes. Is it likely? No.

If NHL want's the officials to follow the rules more 'tightly', then why did NHL reject the rules on Malkins' blatant suspension? They are already setting the tone for game 3 and it's disgusting.

Sour grapes?

Watch Datsyuk walking in the beginning of this video. He limps like an ape. Not a good sign, at all! http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2009/06/fo...d_win.html#more

Where is everyone coming up with him being out in gm3? I have not read anything suggesting that, in fact, I read that he is doing very good.
-
I just sent Psychlone a private message asking him to please come back and join us in his thread that he started. I miss him.
-
Odd. I just read a report from Babcock that sounds promising. I think Dasyuk will play game 3.
-
Awesome news, sounds like Datsyuk will play! We need him for game 3.
-
It wasn't Ericsson, it was Stuart who bumped it in.
-
Sidney Crosby? Isn't he the guy that led Penguins to winning the Stanley Cup last year? I could swear I saw a commercial on TV that showed him scoring the game winning goal to win the cup...

Red Wings are banged up, sore, injured and (key) guys are out... so anything is possible. Being up 2-0 sure is a boost though. The Red Wings are playing on will, heart and determination. I do believe they have another gear left in the tank if they need it. So far, they didn't need it.
