coulda, woulda, shoulda; but DIDN'T! Our 4th line rookie has been better than your two "bestest players in the whole-wide-worldz" superstars, COMBINED! How does this make you feel?

I agree, the power play is an exciting part of the game. However, the refs have abused their calls and it's refreshing to finally see the teams play. The game is much faster this way. My thought is Bettman told refs to put the whistle away and call 1-2 per game, and only if it's 100% obvious (like shooting the puck over the glass - delay of game). Initially, (from reading Pens boards), Pens fans were pleased that Refs were putting the whistles away as they thought it favored their team. Now that they realized it isn't, they are calling foul. *IF* refs start calling Penalties like crazy when Versus network takes over, I think it'll hurt the game moreso because it's more inconsistency.

The general population is just getting sick and tired of Crosby's constant crying and poor-sportsmanship. I know I am!

Okay, tell us how you really feel.

After this was posted, now they wish to change the subject. "Oh what we really meant was the hooking non-call". They refuse to lose with dignity. Hilarious!

Last night their was a PEN fan challenging Wings fan to meet him at Cheli Chili's for a brawl. LOL! Internet touch guy... haha!
-
We had Blackhawk fans on here telling us the same thing after game two. Look where that went. 2-0 is a pretty big hole to climb out of... even though you already did it once against the Caps. I expect Pens to win game 3. With that said, Ducks would destroy Pens. Their Defense is way to solid and Getzlaf and Perry would own Cindy and Milkin.
-
um, last time I checked we are 2-0 in the series. Outscoring pens 6-2 and Leino's line is contributing..... and Leino is a rookie. Please don't make anymore threads. I don't feel like reading "Is Zetterberg underwhelming you too?"
-
I have no interest in posting, but it is entertaining watching their boards have epic meltdowns. They are the whiniest fans I have ever saw. They are fighting and attacking each other like rabid dogs.
-
I doubt they'll come back... unless their team manages a win.
-
This is freaking hilarious. Their GDT is quite entertaing, to say the least. They make fun of our city, they make fun of our arena, they want Penguins to kill Zetterberg, they want a "delay of game penalty" for a fan throwing an octopus on the ice. BUT that's not enough. Now they want to meet local Wings fans at Cheli Chili to fight. Show some class Pens fans.... You are BY FAR the worse poor-sportsmans in the league! Penguin fans give me a headache
-
I wouldn't expect anything less from Pens fans.
-
I say let it go and move on. Both team got away with bunches of non-calls. That's what we all wanted, right? Hell, even the Pens fans said they prefer the calls let go... until they lost the game. lmao! Then they cried foul.
-
Not me, I'll take the big-powerful all around player with massive skills at defense. If I remember correctly, Getzlaf was also better at face offs. I tend to look a bit deeper than than just offense skillz.
-
Tells me that Pens lack depth. Shut those two down, they don't produce enough goals to make up for their defense holes and wishy-washy goaltending. I guess if Crosby was the player that the media tells me that he is, he'd be able to break through Zetterberg. Apparently the two best forwards in the world got only 1 point between them, and had Osgood recovered his rebound in time, that goal would never had happened. Brain fart by Osgood that gave up an assist to the worlds best player. I'm not saying these two guys are not good. They are good. But they are extremely over-hyped. As someone else mentioned, put Crosby and Malkin in the west and see how many points they put up.
-
In retrospect... and in all fairness, both teams got away with "big ones". From the trip on Kronwall, 2 seconds after the whistle they took a run and Holmstrom, to the interference (late hit) at center ice on Hossa. ***-for-tat, I think the game was fair, and if they did get the call PS on that... I'd honestly feel that Pens are allowed to take cheap shots and interfere, but Wings are not allowed to protect their goalie. I have a feeling tonight that Pens are going to get a lot of cheap powerplays while they get away with everything. I hope that I'm wrong.
-
All good players, but not on the same "power forward" level as Getzlaf. Therefore, I'll kindly agree to disagree with you on this subject.
-
Speaking of goaltenders... anyone know what happen to the marc andre fleury appreciation thread?

NO fan on EITHER team has the right to complain about ANY non-call. After all the s*** they let go, why should this 'questionable' play even be discussed. Pens fans just have sour grapes. They have proven over and over again that they are the whiniest fans in the league.
-
Oh this should be fun. Who is the best power forward in the game then? You don't give Getzlaf enough credit, whenever he was on the ice, he made s*** happen. As the game wore on, Getz wore down... due to the extreme ice time. I hate Getz, but I would love to have him on this team (but it'll probably never happen). Back to my point, Getlaf and Perry were much more of threat in every game of that 7 game series as Crosby and Malkin were in the past 7 we played them in the finals. Bottom line, Crosby is good, but Zetterberg is better.
-
Stay classy, Pittsburgh.
-
Of course you wouldn't know.. you would have to watch teams other than Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins to learn other players around the league. I know it's hard for you to fathom, but there are other teams in NHL other than Penguins. Getlaf is the only the best power forward in the game, not too mention his mad defensive skills. But you wouldn't know that, Pens know nothing about defensive forwards.
