I for one am sick and tired of the "we suck we're done might as well go home now" crap i'm seeing everywhere here. so much so that I think I may just have to turn the computer off until after we win on Saturday night to take back the lead. None of you actually expected this to be easy, did you? without our best player? I fully expected to lose both of these games, but hoped we could somehow steal one. the beauty is that we don't HAVE to win one there...but they HAVE to win one at the Joe....and I don't see it happening. I called it at the start and i'll say it again - Wings in 7 w/ no road wins. I think we win Sat handily with Pavel back and freeing up the Zetts line to do some damage, and Hossa will release his fury finally. 5-2. Until then, I think i'll let y'all whine about how the series is over and continue the sandiest ****** competition going on here.

I'm sick and ******* tired of Orpik running our guys all over the place, cross checking, interfering, boarding, you name it, with complete impunity. Has he gotten a single penalty yet? did he get the one for the rape of Helmer? Regardless he committed at least a dozen blatant ones tonight...Did they get rid of the rule against cross checking a player face first into the boards and not tell us? He Cross checked Hossa down Three times by my count. What I don't understand is that it's not like he's Scott Neidermeyer....he's a hack goon who has no shot, can't play position, and simply holds and interferes constantly. To my great surprise, Babcock all but called out Orpik's blatant interference all game long in the post game...referring to "one of their players" who he saw commit a bunch of interference penalties worse than the one called on Ericcson. He said more about that disparity than I've ever heard him say about officiating..i.e. they "were given" the power play that made the difference and the Wings didn't. He knows as well as everyone not wearing black and yellow that was a ******* gift.

So I have to head to Louisville - a true hotbed of hockey fandom! - Thursday afternoon and will be there till the following friday. So that means i have to find somewhere to watch Games 4, 5 and 6 if necessary. Any tips? I'm staying at the Galt House Suites right on the River downtown, so anything down there is preferred...but i'd especially like to get together with any fans here if they exist! I've done this the past two years (last year I was in the air during Game 6!) so I know about their little Friday Night Live area...but that's all pretty lame and no sportsbar that i'm aware of.
