When will the DHE line be reunited? How can anyone be bitching about Draper, I thought that he played very well together with Helm and Eaves. Draper gives the team a nice spark of energy.

No, I believe Ozzie will finish his contract with the Wings as a back-up. After that, he may possibly play on another team for a year or two as a starter (perhaps a team lower in the standings looking for a veteran goalie), and then call it quits.

I didn't think that Ozzie played as bad as previous games, but that first goal was pretty terrible. I mean, he is an NHL goalie, and that seemed to be a pretty standard save. Jimmy would've had no problem with the shot. I think it is time for Jimmy to shine, and Oz to accept his role as back-up. Although I do agree that even as back-up, he deserved more starts. His age is catching up with him, which with less starts means more rust. I would say that rust on a 37 year old goalie is not a good thing, especially when in a back-up role. He should finish up the rest of his contract with the Wings, as a back-up, and he might have a year or two left as a starter with another team. I don't think the Wings can take a chance on a 39-40 year old goalie, even as a backup. He should be appreciated for his work in the past, but now is time to look at Jimmy as our #1 guy. Hopefully next year, Oz will get more starts, and finish his time with the Wings in a positive light.

Same story every game with NBC, up the other teams ass, no matter who they are. Nothing shocking there.

If there is any team that deserves to not make the playoffs, it is Philadelphia. They are a bunch of goons. They have gotten away with many cheap shots.

Don't forget, Cleary was a beast for us last year in the playoffs. He will turn his game up. He seems to come back pretty good after an injury rest.

Eaves was much more of a offensive threat than Bertuzzi in this game. He almost netted the first goal I believe. Nearly trickled in, and then Eaves followed up, and it went slightly wide.

On the nhl.com preview page, it's not showing Dan Cleary as being out this game. Dunno, maybe they just didn't update their site or something.

Wtf was the deal with all of the whistles blowing in the stands. That was annoying the s*** outta me. How nice would that be to have someone blowing a whistle the whole game sitting by you? Anyway, great win by the Wings. Glad to see Howard get a shutout for this game, he deserved it.

Actually, if you took the top three teams in these past 10 games, Red Wings would probably in fact be third.

I'd say that every game when you're battling for a playoff spot is the biggest game of the season.

What I don't understand about him is that, he plays like a 50+ goal scorer for about a week or two. Then, it seems like he feels that he has played up to his value, and doesn't try as hard. How the hell do you go from scoring two consecutive OT game winners, to not scoring in 18+ games (I think that's where he's at now). There is either something wrong with him physically, or he just doesn't have heart. I know there is a good player in Bertuzzi, but what does he need to keep playing up to what he was earlier in the season? I honestly don't think it was because Dats was on his line either. He had a different intensity about his game, which he doesn't have at this point, or during the beginning of the season.

Anybody know if the "upper body injury" he suffered was serious? Must not have been too bad, since he scored. Unless he was injured worse after the goal. BTW, Eaves is now 6th in team goals, 2 behind Cleary.

Their goalie had like a 4.00 something GAA, never won a game. The Oilers are like 30th defensively. You can't lose games like this, especially to the bottom team in the league, when you are in the race for the playoffs. They should've peppered him with shots, he would've eventually let in a few, or let up a few nice rebounds. Why is it that a no name goalie always has the game of his life against this team? Damn.

Seems to me that Lemieux has a big ego issue, and can't flat out say sorry. Maybe that's just how he is, I dunno. Also, isn't it true that Crawford is a prick, and wanted his players to do revenge type s*** (Like Bert on Moore)? Seems like Lemieux's claim that Crawford told them to finish their checks, don't hold back, actually holds some water. Even though I don't think he injured Draper on purpose, he still should've recognized that Draper was in and poor position to be checked from behind.
