Canada for Gold baby!!!!! Would be nice to win it at home.

So I was at last night's game and they handed out these Green posters, which said, ‘Hockeytown, no limits‘ telling fans that they would be used for a NHL commercial. During the 1st period fans were asked to flash the poster and make some noise. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> Today on Mlive.com Malik was talking about the new slogan; Just wondering what you guys think of it. Personally I like it.

I agree, good call. Bet if you called the Joe, they would still have some left over. Perhaps they could ship you one.

The Joe was sold out last night (although there were empty seats, but those tickets were likely sold) against a bad Boston team. Other team's fans will always continue to try and knock the Wings from the pedastal. After all, they have been up there since 1986/87 (with the exception of 89/90 & 90/91). And for the Hawks fans....when was the last time they had a parade down the Mile? 1960/61. Good times in the Windy city.

I was at the game last night and didn't even see it. Great video. Music selection was very good.

At least some of the Yotes bloggers are attempting to get the troops out to the game. From Coyotes Hip Check:

Here is the video from the commerical: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" />

One more thing; where the hell was Boston tonight? I realize they have some injuries but still. As a team they played alright and in the end I think they outshot the Wings but with the exception of Chara and Thomas most of the team wasn't really noticeable. I didn't even realize that Recchi was playing until the 3rd. Sturm seemed like a non-factor.

Just walked in from the game. Atmosphere at the Joe was really good. Great crowd, full house. Lidstrom's intelligence on the ice is just a joy to watch. Kronwall hits anything that moves. Datsyuk is sick with the puck. Helm's speed is very noticeable. Draper can still wheel. Osgood was very good. (also lucky). Bertuzzi played a pretty good game. Zetterberg was solid as per usual. Really solid effort. PK was excellent. They were shooting a commerical during the 1st period for the NHL. Gave everyone Green Hockeytown posters which said No Limits (will post a video in a bit). Really fun game.

Just got back from the game. What a win. Osgood was very solid. Lucky a number of times but good nonetheless.

I have an authentic Oilers Gretzky jersey, which I then got signed and is now framed. Also have a great 8 x 10 of him which he signed seperately. I also have an 8 x 10 signed by Pete Langelle who scored the Stanley Cup winning goal on April 18, 1942 against the Wings. Back in the day I worked at a bank and he used to come in with his NHLPA pension cheques so I`d chat hockey with him. One day he came into the bank and handed me an 8 x 10 of him that he signed. Super nice guy.

I'm heading to the game tonight!! Wings 3 Boston 1. Excited to see the Bruins. First time I've seen another Original 6 team.

What happens if the Yotes start losing?

As I was listening football tonight I found out what hockey needs.

Was thinking the same thing. -
Oh boy. Another banner night. I realize its a Monday and the World Series and MNF are on, but the crowd is pretty small. Was anyone (from here) at the game?

Greatest Hockey Legends had an interesting article which I covered in NHH yesterday talking about the evolution of the painted goalie mask and how it coincided with Halloween.

Todd Bertuzzi wonders why he ever drove away from Motown in the first
WpgMikos posted a topic in General
From Faceoff: Bertuzzi glad to plug into Motown mojo again: Complete article, click here. 11 games in. Happy or unhappy with him being back? Saturday Morning Papers: NHLPA remains in disarray, Wings GM Holland wants young guns to step up, Sabres Ryan Miller remains without a regulation loss, Pens avoid curse of the blue jersey, Islander rookie Tavares puts on a show, Yotes coach only focus is winning, who should start in goal for Team Canada? -
Not sure who took the time to edit this summation video of the month of October in the NHL, but it is pretty well done. The goals by Semin (against Philly) was amazing. Even had a nice save by Osgood at 1:08 into the video. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> Good music choice. Would have liked to see some more Wings clips in the video, but perhaps that will happen in November. Nightly Hockey Hits Trick or Treat Edition: October’s hockey in video, Babcock takes jab at Ericsson, Rangers healthy again, a sexy Leaf costume, Pietrangelo moves up to Blues’ #1 PP.

I didn't want to load the Forum with YouTube video's but this one of Datsyuk is INSANE. I've seen most of these clips individually but when put together, wow!

Incredible moves and sweet finish. 2nd best was by Getzlaf. At 1:26 in the game against the Kings, who was it that re-directed the Lidstrom shot from the point? Edit: Did some quick research:

I'm off to "Trick or Treat" in East Lansing. Hope the Wings win big. But I'm thinking its going to be a 5-4 Wings victory. Go Wings. Have a good night!

I've only seen 1 game ever at the Dome. Great atmosphere. (of course it was Game 6 of the Cup Finals vs. Tampa in 2004, so you'd expect it to have been pumpin). Should be a great one tonight.
