Yea and two of them were in the 3rd period of Game 7 when they gave the Wings every chance to comeback and tie the game and guess what they didnt score...I love how everybody says that when Datsyuk came back in Game 5 that the Wings were as good as gold, and now all of a sudden after the Wings lost the last two games with Datsyuk the injury excuses come back up.

Hahahaha Well guess what they have now and they are the Pittsburgh Penguins of 2009. They are the only team in NHL history to win a Stanley Cup when trailing in two playoff series 2-0 like they did in both the Caps and Wings series. Seeing the Wings players faces after the Penguins won on Friday night knowing how they gagged it on their own ice was just absolutely ******* beautiful...Especially seeing Kronwall having his head hung about as low as you could get it...

Yea Detroit had 23 power plays in the series and the Pens had 14 power plays so suck a big one dude...

Ill go on record right now as saying if Hossa doesnt score a goal on Friday night or help set up a goal or two in game 7 the Red Wings will not win Game 7. I think he is a lot more important to the Wings then some of you guys make him out to be. I went on record before this series started and said if Hossa didnot put some pucks in the net the Red Wings would not win this series against the Pens. Maybe if Hossa would have stepped up and had a good Game 4 like he did in the previous series we arent talking about this right now and the Wings are the champs. The fact of the matter is Hossa'a lack of production is a big big reason there is a game 7 going to be played on Friday night. Had he shown up at some point this series and taken over a game much like he did for the Pens last playoff season we arent having this conversation right now I guarantee it...

Crosby has a game winning goal this series as well you forgot to mention something else that Hossa doesnt have...It's okay you can sit there and say that Hossa doesnt need to score or make an impact in this series because when the Wings lose the Cup on Friday night you can point to Maid Marion and his no show this series and not being able to put pucks in the net as a top 3 reason if not the main reason the Red Wings do not win the Cup...

Pens could have gotten a few more calls as well. I think the refs did a good job last night calling 2 penalties each for both teams and just letting the two teams play more 5 on 5 and decide the game based on that. The Wings probably could have gotten more calls I wont argue there Staal tripped Helm I believe in the 2nd period, but the bottom line is like I said the chances and the opportunities for the Wings were there being on the power play 4 out of a possible 5 minutes midway through the 3rd...Fleury made some key saves and the Pens defense and penalty kill stepped up big blocking shots and not allowing the Wings to capatalize on a lot of rebounds in front of Fleury. The Wings despite some of the no-calls you talk about had their chances in the 3rd period and like I said before they didnt capatalize...

I agree that the Caps are not the Wings but the point is the Penguins can still use this is as a confidence builder in knowing that they can win a game 7 on the road and have already done it once this year after being down in the series 2-0 much like they are in this series versus the Red Wings. It helps them mentally and Im sure they will also go back to last years triple overtime win in Game 5 in Detroit seeing that a lot of the players from this years team were on that team as well from last season and use that as a confidence builder as well in knowing that they can win a game in Detroit if need be...

Yea I guess if Cleary scores and ties the game there it's just an automatic lock that the Wings get the next goal in OT and win the game. I mean maybe the Penguins dont even show up for the overtime and just forfeit. If you're going to say if Zetterberg didnt hit the post or Cleary dont miss the breakaway, I could go back just as easily to Games 1 and 2 and say is Malkin didnt miss the breakaway in Game 1 against Osgood when the game was tied midway through the 2nd maybe the Pens win game 1. Or if Crosby and Guerin dont hit posts on Osgood late in the 2nd period or early in the 3rd period of Game 2 when the score was only 2-1 Wings maybe the Pens win game 2. I guess it's okay to bring up Wings players hitting the posts and missing golden chances as reasons why they could have won, but it doesnt count and is completely ridiculous if I bring up the Penguins doing it much like they did in Games 1 and 2. Give me a break...

Kind of like Marian Hossa is Mr Game 4 and is going to score 2 or 3 goals against the Pens just like he did in Game 4 against the Jackets,Ducks,and Hawks. How did that turn out for you?? Or kind of like once Pavel Datsyuk gets back in the lineup and the Wings have a full 3 days rest there is no way they will lose another game in this series as a lot of Wings fans here on this board said. Sidney Crosby might not be having a great series but he has still made more of an impact in these playoffs for the Penguins then guys like Hossa and Datsyuk have for the Wings. He is still 2nd to Malkin in the playoffs in points and still leads the playoffs with goals as well. The Penguins would not be playing in a game 7 in the Stanley Cup Final right now if it wasnt for Crosby having the great playoff season he has had this far. We will see who makes more of an impact on Friday night. Sid or Maid Marion who has been a total no show this whole series. My money is on Crosby...

I expect a better effort on Friday night out of the Wings believe me. I know how good they are and how they can just turn it on whenever they want too. I know that the Penguins are most likely going to have to literally rip the Red Wings ******* hearts out of their chest on Friday to win the Cup on their home ice. If any team can do it though the Penguins are that team. Resiliency has been the Penguins story this season time and time again if you had to write a theme for them. They have been counted out time and time again this season and have went from being 10th place in the standings in the Eastern Conference in mid February and not even making the playoffs to one game away from hoisting the Cup. Game 7 I really believe will be an epic classic and has overtime written all over it in my opinion...

Oh well the bottom line is the Wings had 2 power plays for 4 out of 5 minutes midway through the 3rd period after they had just scored to make it 2-1 and had all the momentum and they failed to get the job done...The refs gave the Wings 2 power play chances after they made it 2-1 to tie the game and they didnt do it that's all there is too it pure and simple...

Both of these guys will show up and make an impact in Game 7 on Friday night. One thing about Sidney Crosby if you look at his track record since he came into the league is he always has a tendency to show up and make an impact at the most crutcial times and the most crutcial games.

They got outplayed dude period. The Wings showed up they just got outplayed by the Pens. Why is that so hard for you to admit?? Yea that's right the Wings didnt want to close the series out in Pittsburgh for a second straight season and have Hossa humiliate them by skating with the Cup on Mellon Arena ice. Yea Im sure Babcock told his guys let's not show up until 15 minutes left in the 3rd guys so that we can go back and play a game 7 on Friday night in Detroit where anything can happen. Any Wings fan on here who thinks the Wings didnt want to close out the Pens and get this series over with and think they decided not to just show up as the reason why they lost are in complete denial...

Im not talking about Game 4 that was almost a week ago and Maltby didnt even get a penalty for that and neither did Crosby. Im talking about last night. Let's talk about how Franzen acted like he got shot as well in Game 5 when Malkin elbowed him.

Wings blew their chance of taking it in 6 because they got OUTPLAYED by the Penguins last night buddy that's why pure and simple...The Penguins wanted it more last night from the drop of the puck that was evident right away. A lot of Wings fans like yourself expected the Penguins to just lay down after that ass kicking on Saturday and not even show up last night and let the Wings skate with the Cup on their home-ice again. Well it's payback time now for the Pens time to turn the tables and skate with the Cup at the Joe. Hossa is going to look like a total ******* loser if the Wings dont win this Game on Friday night seeing what he said about going to the Wings over the Pens in the off-season, and considering he has been a complete no show this entire series not even scoring 1 goal. Where was Hossa last night I didnt even know he played?? I also thought with Datsyuk back and the extra 3 days of rest the Wings were suppose to be more stronger last night and come out and take it to the Pens...

Nah Ill get ready to celebrate 2 Championships within 4 months of one another seeing that we already got the 6 time Super Bowl Champs who won in February, and late Friday night we will be celebrating a Stanley Cup Championship. I would tell you to get ready for football season as well but I dont know how you can get ready for football season when your team couldnt even win a ******* game last year lol...

The Wings got screwed on many calls?? Did you watch the 3rd period and see them get 2 power play chances within minutes of one another after the Wings had scored their first goal to cut it to 2-1 and had all the momentum?? The Wings had a man advantage for 5 out of the final 10 minutes of the game if you count the two powerplays and when they pulled Osgood to get the extra attacker. The call on Guerin where Draper fell before he even touched him and grabbed his face was the most ridiculous thing Ive seen in a long time...

Guess we will find out buddy wont we...This game is going to be an all out war. There will be no blowouts like there were last Saturday in Game 5...

No opposing team has ever skated with the Cup at the Joe before either...The way I look at it is the Pens have been going against the odds and stats all playoffs long - The runner-up curse. - The 20% or so chance of making the playoffs before the coaching change. - Down 2-0 to Washington. - Game 7 on the road in Washington. None of that s*** matters. Past statistics and history don't mean a thing. One game. Win and rewrite history.

Yea I'm sure the Pens will look at those stats today or tomorrow and say that's it let's not even bother showing up to the Joe on Friday. You're also the same idiot on here that was saying how the Wings were going to close it out in 5 games last week after the series was 2-0, and how the Blackhawks were a more resilient team then the Penguins are and played the Wings a lot tougher then the Penguins have. Let's hear about the Ducks too one more time and how awesome they were and how if they played the Penguins they would have swept them and beat them by 18 goals every game...

Here's something interesting for the numbers people. The 1971 Chicago Blackhawks were the last team to lose game 7 of the SCF on home ice, AND they were also the last and one of the only teams to ever get a 2-0 lead in a SCF and lose it. The Pens have also won every series in these playoffs on the road. Game 6 @ Philadelphia, Game 7 @ Washington, and Game 4 @ Carolina. The bottom line is the Pens are not playing the history, the Pens are playing the Red Wings.....& for those of you keeping score at home, the Pens are 4-0 all time in Game 7s on the road in their playoff history...

I just try to keep things as simple as possible and try not to let stats or history of any sort dictate what is going to happen the rest of the way in this series. It's a great accomplishment for the Red Wings that no team has ever skated with the Cup on their own home-ice. It shows you what kind of an organization they are and how tough they are to defeat. But at the sametime Im not going to let that keep me from not believing that the Penguins cant comeback and win this series because those teams were different and have nothing to do with this current series and current Penguins team. A good example of how he said nobody has ever skated with the cup at the Joe before I bet nobody thought a few years ago as well that the New England Patriots as well as dominant as they had been all season long were going to lose in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants after going 18-0 for the entire season and guess what they did. The point is anything can happen and nothing is a sure thing no matter what has happened in past years...

Well as the old saying goes there is a first time for everything and streaks are meant to be broken... And until the Red Wings are skating around with that Cup again Im not giving up. This Penguins team no matter what you think of them are very resilient and they are good enough to beat the Red Wings 2 games in a row and win a Game 7 in Detroit. They won 2 games in a row against the Wings already in this series so who is to say they cant do it again?? Will it be tough as hell to do?? Absolutely. But it's not impossible...
