It's why Crosby outplayed and outclassed Ovechkin in the 2nd round this year in the playoffs when the Pens overcame a 2-0 deficit without home-ice and won a game 7 on the road in Washington. Correct me if Im wrong Snazzy but wasnt there another team that was down 2-0 without home-ice that lost a deciding Game 7 at home in a place where an opposing team had never skated with the cup?? Who was that other team that the Penguins did that too in the playoffs this year do you remember??

I meant no city has ever won a Stanley Cup Championship and a Super Bowl Championship in the same year. Pittsburgh is the first city to ever accomplish this. Yes the Pats and Sox did win in the same year but it's much easier to win in baseball then it is in hockey or football because there is no salary cap. And as we all know the Red Sox have the 2nd or 3rd highest payroll next to the Yankees. So when your payroll is 120 million like the Red Sox was you should be able to win World Series because other teams in baseball cant match that. Where as in hockey and football there is a cap and more parody and things are more evenly matched and it's harder to win.

Draper should be more worried about his horrible play in the series when he was installed back in the lineup instead of worrying about who's hand Crosby didnt shake. It was a stupid decision by Babcock to take out Abdelkader especially after he scored two goals in the first 2 games and replace him with a washed up and injured Draper. It was Babcock's decision to turn Zetterberg into a checking line center with Datsyuk out. It was his decision during the entire playoffs to not trust his roster and voerplay his big 4 on defense and his top 2 lines. Obviously Pens fans will put Hossa on the list but doing so ignores how badly Datsyuk played this entire post season. Sure he could be given a pass in The Final cause he was playing with a broken foot. However, before that he was nothing more than a defensive forward. That's not good enough for a Hart Trophy finalist. Brad Stuart and Niklas Kronwall. how many times do they have to turn the puck over before they understood you just can't do that? I'd put Kris Draper on there as well except he's a big reason why the Pens are Champions right now.

He said today in an interview that the idea of him not wanting to shake an opposing players hand is ridiculous. He said it's the easiest thing to do. What's the matter never thought the almighty Wings could lose two games in a row and lose a game 7 at home like I just mentioned above?? Like I said the Pens losing Game 5 5-0 was the best thing that could have happened to them. I mentioned this before the game, that I was actually more confident just by listening to the interviews of the players and coaches from both teams. On the Wings side everyone, including coaches, were just saying how much fun this is and they have never been in a game 7 so they are really enjoying it , etc. One reporter asked Zetterberg if having a home game can be a distraction because of tickets, etc...and he said well no you gotta have fun with it. Same with Babcock, Osgood, and so on. They were all talking about how much fun they were having. And the Pens you had something totally different. They didn't talk about the fact they are in a game 7 so they are appreciating it and having fun, they talked about what it was going to take to win..but they knew they could lose..and that was the difference. Wings didn't see losing as an option. It was already a lock. And after the game was proof where the Pens minds were. They weren't prepared to celebrate, had no idea how to when it happened. Crosby was late getting over to shaking the Wings hands, he was caught up with celebrating with some of his teammates, so to do that wasn't on his mind. And none of the Pens skated around with the cup lol...they handed it off to each other and skated about 10 feet and back. So believe me, this team couldn't have been more prepared. And we can all thank Bylsma for that. Im sorry but there is no way we win with another coach. I know that's just speculation and we don't know if others could make this team better too, but he was the perfect fit. The guy has won championships his whole life, writing books about it, and was so upset about losing in the Finals as a player that every time a team won a championship in any sport, he would turn it off right before the celebration because he couldn't watch, that is how much it bothered him he said. So there is no way he was going to lose this game, and same with the players. They came to win, not enjoy the fact they are in a game 7. The Pens shook the Wings hands. I dont know what the Wings expected the Pens to do. Did they want them to go right over there immediately after the horn sounded and shake their hands before they celebrated with their teammates for a little bit?? I mean they celebrated for 5 minutes then they lined up and shook hands like they showed on NBC...

A full season of Dan Bylsma as the Pens coach combined with players now wanting to come here that are free agents in order to have a chance to win the Cup is a scary scary thought for next season. Had Bylsma been the coach of this Pens team all season they would have been one of the top 2 teams in the East easily...

I remember how people were saying when the parade was going to be last Tuesday when it was 2-0 and how the Wings would win this series in 5. It makes winning the Cup all the more sweeter seeing how much adversity and all the obstacles the Pens had to overcome in order to win the Stanley Cup. You dont go from 10th place in the East in mid February all the way to winning a Stanley Cup championship without having a lot of character in that locker room. What Dan Bylsma did with this Penguins team when he took over in mid-February I believe is one of the greatest turnarounds in the history of the National Hockey League.

Yea we heard the same exact thing last year too dude after they lost to Detroit mainly from idiot Flyers fans about how the Penguins were done and they will never have this good of a team again. Crosby is 22,Malkin is 23,Staal is going to be 21,and Fleury is 24. Crosby and Malkin didnt take near as much money as they could longterm to stay here if you look up the numbers instead of just assuming since you're ignorant that they did. A lot of free agents and big name players want to come play with guys like Crosby and Malkin and I'm sure Shero will find a way to bulk up both lines for Crosby and Malkin.

Penguins just signed a new lease to keep the franchise in Pittsburgh moron and are getting a new arena so they arent going anywhere. It would be nice to see a guy like Heatley take less in order to play for the Penguins since he wants out of Ottawa but it would take a lot to make that happen...Guerin will probably retire,Gill,Satan,Boucher, and Sykora wont be back. Fedotenko,Adams and especially Letang and Scuderi will all be back. The Penguins will be fine and have an excellent chance to make another run next year again. When you're strong down the middle like the Pens are with Crosby,Malkin,Staal,and Fleury in the net you are in good shape to compete for Cups for many years which is what this Penguins team is going to do.
