Well, sorry to say but now it seems like the refs are biased against Pittsburgh - I mean, that "slash" on Zetterberg was a pathetic swing, it couldn't hurt my grandma - the Z man put on a bit of a show. I thought Helm drive to drive a knee and an elbow into Syd Crosby, and Franzen nailed him in the back with crosscheck... ANYHOW - 5-0!!! What a period for the Red Wings. Just imagine the pain in the Pens locker room during the 2nd intermission. Pavel Dats has been a HUGE addition:)

Interesting - would you come clean about Pavel? I'd put "Z" back on Crosby regardless of how tired he is (it worked in games 1 and 2) and keep Helm as close to Malkin as possible all night long. Dats sits for the series (I think there's no way he plays, or if he does he won't be effective, a broken/fractured foot is nothing to sneeze at).

Yah - come to think of it they were outplayed at times in games 1 & 2, and we had some good bounces, etc, but I did not think we were TERRIBLE in game 3, or BAD in 1 & 2. How so?

tell us how you REALLY feel, hehheh I agree with the PP/PK fiasco, but the Wings still outperform them in equal strength which is 85-90% of the gametime. We won more faceoffs, more shots, controlled the puck more in the first half of the game - maybe I'm looking for too many silver linings here...

I remember waaaay back to the late '80's and the Wings would look brilliant and then gawd-awful within a game, even against such teams as Winnipeg. Then there's the Leafs - so much more AWFUL on a regular basis, so less chance of ridin' a roller coaster with those guys, hehheh Anyhow, anyone care to guess what Babcock will do, aside from putting in Pavel?

I don't believe we "sucked" - had 39 shots on Fleury. The bounces went their way, and Staal got a nice goal oaginst two tired defencemen. Normally he would never be able to do that - just fortuitous timing, that's all, for the Pens. One thing to note - refs gave us FOUR POWERPLAY OPPORTUNITIES vs TWO FOR THE PENS, in the Mellon arena no less, so can everyone PLEASE STOP REF-WHINING NOW?? The reffing has never had anything to do with the games going one way or another, and only Pens People whine about refs - Wings fans (atleast the ones I know and whenever I have gone to Jo arena) focus on the players and their plays. That's my take on it, anyways - now it's back to Motor city, and there's no way the Pens win the next one. cheers

I concur. BTW Gill is a slow lump - can't hardly skate at all. Wings make him dizzy with their speed. No way he would crack the Wings' lineup, thats for sure.

I thought Wings DOMINATED the second period - Pittsburgh hardly controlled the puck at all. If Wings do it again in Game four for 2 periods, it is lights out for the Pens.

I'd say the massive miss on the Z's glove over the puck and Ozzie's ass was a nice one for the refs to ignore - and Ozzie's faceplant on Stall with the stick - there's been missed calls on both sides. I quote Alduos Huxley: "The only truly consistent are the dead." The refs can't always be exactly on top of everything, but for gawds sake they are NOT in a conspiracy. Wings don't need crybabies screaming about Bettman and officials - they just needed a couple of breaks in the second period, or more gas in their tank in the third, and they would be up 3-0.
