He'll be missed. But I think everyone knew his time was coming. Somewhere, Claude Lemieux is smiling. And here's the goal for everyone;

I took it as "I'm pissed off and the last people I want to talk about it to is you."

That was my initial reaction. Why does it seem like more Atlanta players are concerned over Florida? Plus, where the hell is Ballard? He should be the one person out there huddled around him. Instead, he's resting up on the bench.

My buddy has a pair of those. All they do is make everything yellow.

So I've been reading The Good, The Bad, The Ugly and was reading over the big brawl that happened back in '97 with the Wings and the Avs. Yes, we all know what happened. But, I decided to see if I could find the video online. YouTube has everything, of course. So, here's the video for your enjoyment. I'm not looking to start any stupid "Who won the fight" discussion, but I enjoyed watching it all over again and decided to share. Enjoy!

The Wings have never really had a good start. Plus, with so many injuries from top players so early in the season, you had to see it coming. I'd rather have them injured now than during the playoffs. Let's just hope the universe let's it happen like that.

I'll have to check that out. In the book I mentioned in my first post, the author says the exact quote is "I knew your father before you did, and he wouldn't be proud of you right now." I miss Scotty.

Actually, he does.

Student Rush Tickets Has anyone tried this out yet? All they say is a general location of where the tickets can be, but does anyone know if there are any restrictions on where in these "general" locations? I sure wouldn't mind getting nice seats for $45.

Here we go...

That sounds amazing, and exactly the information I was looking for. Thank you! I plan on going to the Vancouver game this upcoming Thursday. I want that Yzerman plaque they'll be handing out to everyone who attends. I'm a sucker for memorabilia, especially for my all time favorite player.

You're comparing a player who has never been out of the media since he came into the NHL, to a player whos being inducted into the Hall of Fame being in the media? Yeah, that's the same thing.
-
I have a buddy who does the exact same thing. He hasn't been to school in over a year.
-
Yep, exactly. Like I said, he came into the NHL as a really great young player. He has great talent for such a young player, of course the media is all over him. To be honest, I think he's even getting tired of it. He seems to try and cut it short in some of his interviews it seems like. I'd be annoyed too if I was in his shoes. Show some of AO's plays every now and then.

The fact is, Crosby came into the NHL as a good, but immature hockey player. He was in the spot-light from the start. They guy couldn't breathe without every reporter wondering what kind of gum he chewed to make his breath smell like that. Every move he made was all over the media so we all knew he made some fake dives and things such as that. It was so easy to pick on him when we all heard about everything he did wrong. He was a media gold mine from the start because he was such a young player to enter the NHL. Of course we saw his every flaw too. And for his "hot-headed" plays, c'mon, if you were a 22 year old Captain of a NHL team, don't you think you'd get a little frustrated too? Lidstrom has been in the NHL for quite some time, so he has some experience and knows the ins and outs of the game, especially after being under Steve Yzerman. He knows how to keep his cool at this point, and so will Crosby by then. He has matured immensely since his first season. From here on out, it's only going to get better for him. I am in NO way saying I'm a Crosby fan by saying all of this (because I'm not one), but Christ, give the guy a break.

Todd Bertuzzi wonders why he ever drove away from Motown in the first
MCleveland89 replied to WpgMikos's topic in General
I'm glad he's back, personally. He needs to be a bit faster with knocking the pucks into goal when he has the chance, but overall I'm happy.
